Ness's edgeguarding is MUCH better than ANY other character. His aerials are much stronger at edgeguarding and overall kill power than anyone else's. His specials, while not as good, are amazing. N.b has kill power if you land it. S.b is mediocre, but can get gimps. U.b is mediocre, but can gimp and does a TON of damage if it connects with Ness. D.b can heal Ness. His smash attacks are either powerful, can get gimps, or can lead in to broken crap bug yoyoyoyo gliitch. yoyoyoyo gliitch places a hitbox on the ground or on ness allowing ness to, for example, grab across the stage or become an u.b explosion. His throws can be powerful or help with combos. His tilts can help with combos or other stuff. HIs dash attack in grreat to get opponents of or away from you. His wavedash and frame data are fast too.

I'm gonna have to agree with some of the things you say if we shy away from comparison to the rest of the cast.


But if we do look at his moves relative to the other characters then some of this stuff you've said doesnt stand up.

Although I still believe that Ness has the 2nd best dair and 3rd best fsmash in the game.

Ness can be countered easily by Rosalina and his down b is useless if his opponent don't have any move that'll heal him like Mario's fireball. Other then that he's a pretty good character.

The issue with ness is that his moves aren't quick enough to be able to counter the high tiers. You're saying that his specials have a lot of attack power, but things like n.b take 15 years to come out anyway, and are difficult to land in casual play. Let alone competitive

pk flash isn't that hard to land just use it to cover the ledge when a falcon or something is trying to recover
