Nintendo's President Furukawa announced two details about the Switch’s successor today. For starters, the upcoming console will have backwards compatibility with Switch titles. Secondly, the Nintendo Switch Online service will continue on the next console.

Unfortunately though, that’s where the new information ends. Not much else is known about the Switch’s successor at the moment. Luckily though, Furukawa also stated that more information about the upcoming console will be announced in the future. The date Nintendo will give us more information is currently unknown as well. However, given that the Switch's successor is slated to be revealed in the fiscal year it's safe to expect news before March 31st, 2025.
