Ottawa Melee Thread - Updated Summer 2016 Power Rankings!

Melee and Smash Wii U are the dominant competitive scenes in Ottawa in regards to Super Smash Bros. This community has experiences in playing big Canadian names like Kage the Warrior, Vwins, Bam, Diakonos, Chester01, PKM Vodka (Lampadaires), Wak017, and many others. A surge of melee players appeared with the help of social networking and we now currently have an interest of over 700+ smashers and continues to grow. With a division of competitively experienced players, casuals, and the ones in between, Ottawa invites all types of smashers to come out and hang out!

This thread is a place where we melee smashers can socialize, arrange smashfests/tournaments, meet new players, and hopefully help the community grow as a whole. Invite your friends, ask questions, talk about smash, and have fun!

Well, at least Saturday doesn't conflict with Fogel. Hm...I wonder if I could afford to burn bus tickets at that rate...

I don't really play Melee at a serious level; whenever I'm at Fogel's, I'll only play friendlies, and as G&W. So if I come over, just expect that, haha.

Yeah, I mean sure it's a nice idea, but I only really play Melee casually. And well...I can't even go to Fogel's every week on account of being from K-Town and it being a 45 minute drive, so dunno about twice a week, lol...

Just some advice. If you are going to start a melee bi-weekly, you really should try and attract a new crow of people. Those on SWF would have already read the ottawa thread, or are too into brawl to care.
So if you want to attract more people, I reconmend appealing to a new crowd.

I think the SMW and M64 rules should be amended according to Alan's claims.

SMW: Beat the game, no Star Road shortcuts
M64: Beat the game, but most get at least 1 star from each level.

That way it's not ridiculously time consuming.
