PK Thunder

I have picked up Ness recently, and find that he has really grown on me. I've taken him as a pet secondary, and I'd like to know any reliable method for getting an an angle I want out of PK Thunder in order to make Ness's recovery viable. Also, I can't seem to get the sweetspot blast with PK Thunder down. I want to be able to repeatedly pull off the Thunder Jacket glitch, and I always mess up on this part. Any tips?
