about every smasher I meet is so used to sheiks automatic combos and speed that the ones that do use sheik barley win at local tournaments. But about 3 weeks later, another tournament comes up and BAM they heading to the finals, grin on their face. What happened?
they entered as regular sheiks, dashing into Fairing like crazy. Losing. But when they return they act like a puppet master, controlling the opponent like a cheap $2 puppet.

Hypothesis -

Could it be that the simplicity of sheiks moves gave an advantage to the player them self? Could this be a mind game that all sheiks find out all across the world? Or did the players just get worse?

Expereiment -

Don't got the time, do it yourself.

Conclusion -

will be written after discussion.

being predictable loses you games. these people got less predictable in their approaches and combo set ups. the combos dont have to change.

Yea I don't think it has anything to do with the moveset; it's just that more experience leads to better meta game and less predictability.
