Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

How about talk about the good points of the comics without making drama by mentioning the artist. The comic is good. The artist is not. There is no need to derail the topic by bringing up clear drama points.

I'll note that when somebody asks what's going on, saying what happened when the issue was it's a derail doesn't actually help. It means people add to the derail too often because it's not actually being dropped. Simply don't answer. They can read the last few pages if they're that curious. Besides that, stuff like "hey, what's going on" in itself is actually spam for this thread. This isn't some kind of regular Social. We want Smash discussion here. It's fine to go off-topic a little, as long as it started from Smash itself in the conversation. Trying to start a topic that isn't related to Smash is definitely spam.

In addition, when we say stop talking about a certain subject, we mean it. No, you don't get to bring it up again even if it's tangibly related. Moving on means completely stopping talking about it and not using an easy means to bring it back. In this case, people were told to outright drop the Rule 34 talk. Bringing up a Rule 34 artist is pretty clearly talking about it(coincidentally, that artist also creates drama when talked about, which is why we immediately stop the conversation almost all the time).

So please keep it to Smash, keep your tangents at least related to Smash(even if it only started as a Smash discussion, but don't let it go on too long if it's not Smash-related in itself), and actually drop a subject when a Mod tells you to. Otherwise, reality is? We have to hand out infractions to those who won't stop. We don't actually like having to infract people like this. Especially when the actual subject is technically legitimate in itself. A ton of valid views. It's still not appropriate for this or the rest of the forum, so stop talking about it. It also might be a bit sooner to unclose than I thought. Again, apologizes for that.

Earlier today this thread was closed due to the discussion of topics that are not really appropriate for this site and not even close to being on topic for this thread, or forum, for that matter. This is not the first time this has been an issue here. First and foremost, this thread is for the discussion of Smash Ultimate, and the topic should never veer that far away from that line of discussion.

I understand that this thread is basically the "social" or "hub" and that digression will happen, which is not a bad thing per se, but when it starts to move into topics of pornography, then the thread has made a wrong turn somewhere. When a moderator clearly states to please move on from discussing something that shouldn't be discussed in public view, it should be dropped or taken into PM, though preferably dropped period.

This site is meant to be family-friendly as stated in the terms and rules; discussions about porn-related topics do not mesh well with the family-friendly image we try to maintain.

On the topic of digression.....

Digression is not necessarily a bad thing. This place is great for people to fraternize and make friends, and I think that is great. But we also must realize that there is a time and place for having/not having some discussions.

One of the big topics relating to Smash Ultimate is the DLC speculation. Discussions of this nature can and should be had in the existing Newcomer/DLC Discussion Thread. Other than that, all other Ultimate Discussions, Ultimate news, Ultimate leak discussions, can be had here. This thread should be treated as a catch all for anything Smash Ultimate related that does not have a dedicated thread. Basically, it covers a lot and it is meant to.

For things that are totally off topic, visit the links I provided in the post above.

I will give everyone a chance to read this, then I will unlock this thread after about an hour.

My only problem with Dante is that we’ve never seen DmC on Nintendo. I like the idea Phoenix Wright, Leon Kennedy, or Monster Hunter a little more because of the history, but he’d still be fun.

Been playing more World of Light/World of Dark.

Guess I could say I'm a quarter way to finishing. Finished every Spirit Challenge in World of Light and all I've got to save is :ultbayonetta::ultbowserjr::ultcloud::ultganondorf::ultkingdedede::ultluigi::ultpalutena::ultroy::ultchrom::ultdarksamus::ultrichter:and:ultyounglink:. Currently having trouble being stuck in these puzzles to reaching Ganon though.

Wow, things have gone awry since I’ve last been here, huh? So are we not supposed to discuss DLC here at all? That’s basically the only reason I’m in this one, and I’ve found it seems to get more views and attention than the DLC specific one so I find the feedback more interesting.

For as far as we can tell, its Ryu, Doom Slayer, Steve, and Erdrick.

But who knows, its probably fake.

I really want Doom Slayer and Ryu, but my mind tells me not to believe in anything until proven true.

Yeah but Cloud represents a game that specifically hasn't even appeared on a Nintendo console until sometime later this year, not FF as a whole.
otherwise we would've probably gotten a lot more general music
