Where: UTSA-- UC Harris

VENUE FEE:
ENTRY FOR THIS TOURNAMENT WILL REQUIRE YOU BRING 3 NON-PERISHABLE CANNED GOODS! If you can't bring cans, please be able to make a $3 donation. All cans and money will be donated to the San Anotnio Food Bank to feed local families this holiday season.
TOURNAMENT FEE:
Pay-in for tournaments will be the same as usual. $5 for non-UTSA students, and FREE for students with VALID STUDENT ID.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:
Melee--Pools into double elimination bracket. Matches will be best of 3 until semi-finals, then they will be best of 5. We will be using the MBR ruleset (found here http://smashboards.com/threads/tentative-mbr-official-ruleset-for-2012.313252/).
Melee-- We will also be hosting a Round Robin Crew Battle tournament. Each crew will consist of five members. In order to enter the tournament each crew will need to supply a five can donation. $100 prize, winner takes all!
Sm4sh--We will also also be running pools into double elim bracket, bo3 until semi finals then bo5, although this format is subject to change depending on attendance.
DISCLAIMER:
We will be implementing the following rule: if participant is 5 minutes late to a match they will lose the first game, if the participant is 10 minutes late, they will forfeit the match.
We will need set up support for both games. Those who bring set ups will be entered into a drawing for gift cards and swag. The more set ups we have, the smoother the tournament will run, so bring them!
This shouldn't have to be said, but UTSA eSports will not be tolerating any bad behavior, bad manners, rudeness, etc. Also, please make sure you shower before you come in. Not adhering to any of the rules or the word of TO's will result in expulsion from the event. Respect the venue, respect your peers, respect yourselves.
We also ask that you limit your tournament entry to either Sm4sh or Melee. NOT BOTH.
