Gimmick: Ink Tank
The Ink Tank is an ammunition mechanic that's used to fuel every attack that uses Inkling's weapons, especially their Special Moves.
It holds a total of 200 units of Ink ammunition per stock that can be used in various amounts depending on the attack they perform.
As a result, Inkling has two easy strategies: Ink the opponent and deal more damage or ink the platforms to prevent their movement.
If Inkling uses their moves carelessly, the Ink Tank will be quickly depleted and any weapon attack used afterward won't fire any Ink.
But by holding "A" & "B", Inkling transforms into a squid and swims in a small puddle of Ink, moderately replenishing their Ink Tank.
(The Ink Tank can also be replenished by inputting Neutral Sepecial, Down Special or Shield Special when it is completely depleted.)
This allows them to swim through Ink that covers any platform or wall, giving them two movement options and faster Ink Tank refill.
Ink lingers on platforms or walls for a total of fifteen seconds before it disappears, but it can be removed by any Water based attack.
