Hey everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I just wanted to inform everyone about this small company. I am in no way affiliated with this company but have just recently received a product for them and would like to share my experience.

I've been looking online for custom controllers for some time. After all who doesn't want a one of a kind controller that depicts their favorite characters and what not? Luckily I stumbled upon Super Coffee Bros on YouTube and eventually found their Facebook and Twitter. They seem to be an up and coming company. I messaged them on Facebook about an inquiry and had a response in less than an hour. They were extremely helpful and kind when it came to coming up with a design. Being a Sheik main I wanted something to do with her. They came up with some mock designs and after my approval they started right away. I first talked to them on Saturday and 4 days later on Wednesday I have the controller in my hand.

The price for a shell(that they already have in inventory) and a paint job/decal is 55 US dollars. When comparing this to other companies or private people who paint GC controllers you won't find a better deal. Each shell is from what I understand painted and then overlayed with a decal followed by automotive clear coats and then put in an oven to harden that. With that grade of protection I expect the controller to last years and years.

Communication was top notch and the controller is amazing. It feels like glass and is absolutely beautiful. When comparing it to the original matte feel of a GC controller I'd have to say this feels about the same if not better. If you want to make your friends jealous or stick out at a competition then I highly suggest contacting this company. I have attached some pictures below to showcase my controller. It features a dark blue coat followed by a Sheik decal with metallic flakes to mimic some stars in the sky.

If you have any questions about them or need more information just comment below. You can check them out at on Facebook or Twitter or see the YouTube video they made to showcase my controller. Again I am in no way associated with them but just wanted to put this option out there for anyone looking for a custom GC controller.

Wow, that's impressive. I'd be all over that if I didn't have the smash logo on my controller.

That is drop dead gorgeous!

I wish I could paint like that back then when I use to work on scale models. I probably might have to hit these guys up eventually.

I actually just received mine from them a couple of days ago and I am thoroughly impressed.

The finish is smooth and seems like I won't have to worry about it wearing down due to the sealant. The only negative aspect that I have with it, and honestly should be expected, is that the controller just feels slightly thicker due to the coating. Other then that I have to give them an A+ for sure, especially for the price.

Also, communication was excellent and top notch.

That link doesn't show a controller, can you update it?

I was torn between Super Coffee Bros and Design Out Of Shield (same person that did Mango's controller) but I'll probably go with this since both of you guys seem to agree not having the matte option isn't that bad and detailing seems to look better with Super Coffee Bros controllers. However, I have a couple questions if you guys would be able to answer them:

1. The decal they apply really seems to thicken up the controller, which makes it seem like all the buttons can barely be pressed (noticeably the A and Start buttons). It might just be the angle, but it looks like there's some warping in some parts too. I'm assuming you guys play hardcore smash to some degree, whether that's competitive or hardcore casual with friends. Has the customization gotten in the way of playing like you normally do? I'm fine if it takes 1-2 weeks of getting used to the bulkiness of it, but if it's a distraction that deters from my gameplay then I might rethink about commissioning a controller lol.

2. I'm looking at their work and was wondering if they chose the image or did you guys supply one? A few of them have grainy/pixelated image and I wasn't sure if that's just luck of the draw or those people just provided bad quality images/no good quality images were available.

3. After ~1 month of using the controller, does it feel any different from an official Nintendo one? Obviously, not including the things you've already mentioned. Button-sticking, input delays, paint peeling off/color deterioration, or any other negatives?

Thanks in advance. Your controller looks amazing btw haha.

It is a slightly slicker material compared, but doesn't effect me, is slightly thicker as well, but once again, still no effect minus the z button feels a little stiff. I am going to take it apart again and try to wiggle it around a bit since I believe I'm the cause of the button being like that. They supply an image if you wish for them to, my controller I had them custom up and doesn't look pixelated, but I'm not a fan of actual pictures on the controller.
