Teching dthrows?

I was playing a random scrub GaW at a recent gathering, and almost every time I tried to dthrow him, he "teched" it, so he didn't pop up. It messed with me pretty badly.

So my question is this:

Can only GaW tech dthrows, or can everyone do it, and this is just a part of the metagame that has been largely unexplored for a very long time?

lol zeal, i made a thread in here and posted in the doc general thread a while ago.

The way it works is like this

if Doc is higher port than G&W, when Doc d.throws, it will have the normal properties (he'll bounce, meaning he can be dunked, and i almost want to say he's kinda chaingrabable, not sure).

If G&W is higher port than Doc, he will just do the G&W stick (with the ability to tech).

From what I tried, Doc is the ONLY character where this occurs. If Mario/Luigi/Samus try to d.throw g&w, he'll just g&w stick.

___

To answer your initial question of "can he tech d.throws", if it's those with the g&w stick, yes he can.

I dont know all of the throws in that category becaaaaaaaaaaaaaause I dont play G&W. XD
