Note: THIS IS NOT A VIDEO THREAD. The purpose of the thread is to discuss a particular match and analyze why the player did so well, so did so terribly. Each week, I will name a set and we will discuss how the Falco was able to win/how or why he lost the match.

I'm only looking for any RECENT and good matches of the Falcos I have listed, for the purpose of showing an MU or that the Falco beat someone relevant. ( For example, Larry recently beat Tyrant, one of the best MK's in the U.S ) Understand what I'm getting at?


And also, Yodery, he plays Melee... o.o This is brawl bro, wrong thread.

I'm not ranked yet, but I will be by next week since Florida's Power Rankings are getting updated. I'll probably be ranked 7th at best. I was at a tournament last weekend (A Florida Regional and an Apex qualifier) and I placed 9/71. K.U.B. to be exact. I'm also going to WABA in November (Georgia national), so we'll see how that goes

Oh damn, I didn't get to watch that... and not bad, but I think that your falco could be better and that you have some bad habits. I just don't think it would be good enough to be on the list, but nonetheless, you're a pretty damn good falco. Also.. would you happen to know someone who could organize videos of all these falcos... -.- ? Although I made the idea, I'm not the best at these kind of things.

Ah.. I see... but, I'm not very good at organizing, it will be very dull, however it will be simple, but I'm not sure many people would like such a thing. :/

I don't really like the idea of this thread. It's pretty much just a watered down video archive.

What I suggest we do is make a video analysis thread like the BBR is doing, but make it falco specific and make it a community collaboration to analyze them. Video analysis is extremely beneficial to improving and it's how I spend most of my time "practicing". I don't live near any good players (closest city is Houston which is a 2 hour drive) so I don't get a ton of play time, but I make up for that in slowing videos down and deciding what was going through that players mind to make the decisions he did.

If we do decide to do this, masha's performance at the sunrise tournament was very good to analyze. He made a lot of really smart decisions and was able to camp better than any falco I've ever seen. We should really break down why it was that masha was able to just mainly camp, but never get predictable.

I agree with Blondie about making a thread to analyze matches. I think it would be more beneficial to put more video analysis into the character match up threads instead of character play styles, but it wouldn't hurt to have both.

I don't think we should have a thread like this. Too many bias opinions will just make this thread turn into a heated debate. If anything, we should just have someone make a new Falco video thread or take over the old one. I think -DR3W- or Keitaro should be in charge of the thread since they both seem to visit the Falco boards fairly frequently and also seem to be pretty organized.

DEHF is also right about the bias. That is why I wanted to come up with a general consensus of some of the best Falcos worthy of being in a 'Best of Falco' thread. If we came to an agreement we wouldn't have to worry about that.

Upon further speculation on my part, we should keep this thread around for a while and see where it goes. We could try to make an invidual video critiquing thread too, soon.

masha wasn't "camping" lol he was zoning. he's controlling how his opponents move with lasers and keeping pressure with jab cancels and rolls from a safe position.
