Who IS Capital B?
Capital B is the main antagonist of the spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series, Yooka-Laylee, and its sequel, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. He is a crazed, capitalistic bee (hence his name), who seeks nothing more than to control anything he can and destroy his enemies, Yooka and Laylee.
Why should Capital B bee (hah) in Smash Brothers at all?
Should Capital B really be in Smash Brothers at this point? No, probably not. There are tens of other characters who deserve to be in before him. If we're talking about Rare-related characters, Dixie Kong certainly comes first that Banjo-Kazooie is in. Heck, even Yooka-Laylee deserve to get in before Capital B, and neither of them is exactly on the cutting board right now. But I can dream, right? Right?
Why would Capital B be a fun addition to the roster?
Capital B, simply put, is a villain at heart. He has no redeeming qualities, no sympathetic backstory, and barely any character at all besides sheer insanity. However, this villainy- especially his numerous similarities to King K. Rool- make him an extremely entertaining character, to say the least. From his strange business puns to his strange design and his strange boss fight, Capital B would give us villain-lovers yet another sadistic megalomaniac to play as. But you see, this one's a bee, so he's clearly very different.
But what can Capital B even do?
Well, Capital B can do a lot! He can be a capitalist and a bee. *thread*
No, just kidding.
Characteristics: Being a villain, Capital B is obviously a heavyweight. His weight would be 110, just below Pirahna Plant and just above Samus. This would make him the lightest super heavyweight, which is fitting due to his relatively smaller size compared to other villains, like his fellow Rare/Playtonic creation King K. Rool. Furthermore, he's a bee, meaning he can't be THAT heavy, right? Capital B is about as slow as Ganondorf on the ground, but as quick as Wario in the air. (If you've fought him in Yooka-Laylee, you'll understand why; he barely walks, but he sure can fly! At least in one of his phases!) He has two jumps and no additional movement options.
Moveset: Jab: Capital B does a one-two strike with his cane. The first hit combos into the second, somewhat like Hero's forward-tilt. However, the move is faster and weaker.
F-tilt: Capital B does a harder hit with his cane, not unlike how he hits Yooka and Laylee when they attack him at a wrong time during his boss battle. This move has lots of knockback and comes out quick, but has a bit of end lag. It is most like a combination of Link's forward tilt and Incineroar's, though not quite as strong as the latter's.
Up-tilt: Capital B's assistant, Dr. Quack, pops out from Capital B's back, sticking his head out for a weak, fast hit. It is most like Squirtle's up-tilt, seeing as... well, a duck in a jar isn't going to be too powerful. It can combo into an aerial move, however.
Down-tilt: Capital B twirls his cane around on the ground, just like Palutena does with her staff. This move isn't very versatile, but then again, neither is Palutena's.
Forward smash: Capital B whips out his Hive Mind, a stronger version of his cane used in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. This move is incredibly strong, and has large range with two hitboxes- one on his staff, and the other on the electrical waves coming out of it. However, this move has quite a bit of startup and end lag. The hitbox on the staff combos into the second electrical hitbox, sort of like Shulk's forward smash.
Up smash: Capital B raises the Hive Mind into the air and shoots a bolt above his head. This move has a high vertical range, but little horizontal range, and is primarily a projectile move. It's actually more of a juggling tool than a killing move, however! Think of a worse version of Megaman's Up Air, which simply hits the opponent out of it (but is still spammable!).
Down smash: Capital B jumps into the air and lands on the ground, with a shockwave coming out around him. The start of the move is just like Ridley's down smash. However, Capital B's differs from all of the very similar ones as a result of the shockwave actually remaining and spreading out after the move finishes, like a slow Power Wave from Terry on both sides. The shockwave eventually weakens to the point where it hits as a regular, weak projectile (again, think Power Wave), and Capital B can attempt to follow up with an aerial move for a combo. But, the opponent can also simply jump over the move as well.
Neutral special: Capital B pulls out a beehive and tosses it at the opponent. It acts somewhat like the beehive item, except:
1. The bees cannot hurt Capital B, under one condition coming later.
2. The bees only target a single opponent: whoever is closest to the beehive when it lands and breaks.
3. The bees will go away shortly after a single attack which occurs five seconds after the bees start chasing the opponent. This attack does 12% and no knockback whatsoever- only a brief amount of hitstun. This makes it very easy for Capital B to combo another move into it, especially another aerial.
However, if one is out of the range of the bees, they will not hit at all. They will do their attack, hit no one, and simply disperse until Capital B throws another beehive onto the ground. Furthermore, the beehive acts as an item once Capital B spawns it. If Capital B z-drops the beehive, it will NOT burst, leaving it on the ground for an opponent to grab or hit. If they grab and throw it, then the beehive becomes theirs, and the bees will not harm them but instead target the nearest opponent- including Capital B, if he is that opponent. The beehive also ONLY bursts when it is thrown onto the ground or at an opponent. The burst will do a small amount of damage via a tiny explosion and cause minimal knockback. However, if the beehive is z-dropped onto an opponent, it does the same amount of damage and knockback as Link's remote bomb and can be picked up again once it hits the ground.
Side special: Capital B flies through the air directly at an opponent, with a weak hitbox on his front that grants him super armor. This is Capital B's quickest form of transportation, not unlike Bowser Jr's (although flying in a very horizontal line in the air). This move doesn't have endlag at all, nor does it put him into freefall, making it his best way to extend combos. It can be used on the ground as well for combos. But, it can only be used once in the air.
Up special: Capital B flies upwards the same distance as Banjo-Kazooie does, and in the same way. Once again, Capital B does not go into free-fall. Capital B can also slam onto the ground, however, as he does in the final boss of Yooka-Laylee. This will NOT generate a shockwave if he hits the ground, though- only his down smash can do it here, unlike in his boss fight. The second hit of the up-B can be activated by hitting b a second time after the initial recovery. If you accidentally hit it offstage, though, you will continue to descend until you hit the blast zone! On the bright side, though, landing on an opponent onstage will bury them into the ground, and it will spike opponents offstage.
Down special: Capital B shoots out a homing missile that targets the nearest opponent. It does a decent amount of damage and knockback, but travels slowly and can also hit Capital B if he gets into its way.
Capital B's grabs are relatively weak and don't combo very well at all, nor do they kill with the exception of his forward throw. He's not particularly strong without his cane, nor is he at all bulky like most of the other villains. I don't have any specific ideas for how Capital B grabs, pummels, or throws the opponents specifically.
As for taunts, his up taunt will that Capital B pulls out a tonic and drinks it in a generally gross fashion, in reference to his growth tonic from his boss fight in Yooka-Laylee. Second, for his side taunt, Capital B puts on the mustache that he wears in Capital Cashino to disguise himself from Yooka and Laylee. His final taunt will involve him floating in the air and activating the Hive Mind, with a sadistic grin on his face.
FINAL SMASH: FINAL BEETING
For this final smash, Capital B uses the Hive Mind to shoot a series of bolts out. If someone is caught into this blast, they take minor damage and are teleported into a cinematic final smash that takes place in Capital B's office. Once there, Dr. Quack pops out from Capital B's armor/back and correctly activates the lasers in his office, as he failed to do in Yooka-Laylee. A gigantic laser like the one in K. Rool's final smash directly hits the opponents caught in the attack, doing significant damage and knockback.
Costumes: Capital B will have four costumes in his business suit from the first game, with different colors for the suit. The standard suit will be his default, while the second will have a purple tie with a bright green suit (to reference Yooka and Laylee), the third will be entirely gold in reference to Rare's heyday, and the fourth will be blue, white, and yellow, in reference to Playtonic's logo. The last four skins will be similar to this, but will instead feature Capital B's appearance in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, featuring his armor from that game with similar color palettes.
Victory Poses:
1. Capital B strikes the pose that he does at the beginning of his boss fight from the first game.
2. Capital B erects a gigantic golden statue of himself from the ground, as appears in the lobby of Hivory Towers (and right outside Capital B's office). The camera even pans back to look at the sheer scale of the statue!
3. Dr. Quack pops out of Capital B's suit and falls onto the ground. Capital B whacks Dr. Quack with his cane repeatedly.
Author's Note: I'm mainly making this thread because I'm a huge fan of Playtonic's work, as well as Rare's. Also, I've been joking with my friends that Capital B will be the fifth DLC fighter in the Fighter's Pass, so this is pretty much my way of expanding this ****post to an uncomfortable degree solely to get a laugh for five seconds out of, like, two people, while all of my other Smash Brothers friends roll their eyes at how stupid this truly is. Also, if Hyle Russell of DK Vine happens to see this, I love you and I want your babies.
SUPPORTERS LIST (Queen Pheobe's "Beetallion!")

no one else because this character will never get into Smash (even Playtonic wants Vendi over him, and she's a literal vending machine who can't move)
ok bye c:
