The great Toon Link boards community combo video

The title is pretty self-explanatory but I'll explain anyway. This is an idea I've had for quite some time. I always wanted to make a combo video, but now that I have the means to do so I want to make this as amazing as possible. What better way is there to make a great combo video than to have everyone help with it?

THE RULES:

If you could please post all of your clips/matches to YouTube, that would be great. It makes it much easier for everyone in the long run.

Videos MUST have the game's music turned off to be included. I want to have some cool music playing throughout the video, and having the game's music on will be counterproductive. But, make sure the other sound effects in-game are still on.

I will accept suggestions for things relating to the video such as music but not all suggestions will be used, so don't get salty if your song isn't in the video.

Only Toon Link combos from smash 4 will be put into the video. Putting other character combos in would defeat the purpose of having a Toon Link exclusive combo video. This should be obvious but I'm saying it just in case.

Please don't upload replays from the 3ds version or a video you took with your cell phone. Only replays recorded with a decent capture card or the YouTube uploader built into the Wii U version will be considered as I want this video to be of high quality.

Don't get too off topic in this thread. We are here to make a combo video, not to discuss how good Toon Link is in the metagame at a nonspecific moment in time.

Not all combos have to end in a kill, nor do they have to be true combos. But don't just do a basic up tilt string and expect to be in the video. Toon Link has many fun ways to string moves together and I don't want the video to become too repetive.

If you want to help me with any aspect of this project, you can, but you must be willing to put in a decent amount of time and effort. This isn't the kind of thing that gets thrown together in 5 to 10 minutes, and I don't want it to look like we spent minimal effort on it.

Please don't argue with other players or act rude. This should be a nice and friendly environment where people can send in replays without being told they aren't good enough or their combos suck.

Don't send in the same clip multiple times or spam. This includes double posting.

Don't break any of the rules listed here or here.

Hmmm... Idk cus it has music, but I can try to pull something from it. Cutting up the video into highlights isn't a problem at all, it takes only a few minutes for me to get the good parts out of a video. But yeah, more videos in the future would be awesome, I just need the tag you want to go by.

Sorry, I can't count it if its some random guy on FG, I don't know his name and he didn't give me permission to use his combos. Other ones are aight tho.


Edit: I don't mind all of the cool stuff you guys do on FG, but try to get some matches against people on real stages. It would look kinda weird if the whole thing was FG besides one or two people. Something with your friends online or anthers ladder stuff would be fine.

Honestly, it doesn't NEED to be a tourney match, I just don't want all for glory matches. As long as it has some real stages in there and its not against CPUs its fine.

And if tourney matches were submitted, it might be hard to work with since most tourney matches are in stream layout. But if the tourney matches were uploaded through the YouTube uploader and had no music it would be just fine.

I'm not sure what happened either, but I was lucky enough to see it before it was privated. It was a footstool bomb combo on falcon ending with an accidental dair offstage.

There is no deadline, partially because I can't edit until my computer gets fixed, but also because the video is still in the clip-collecting phase. You don't need a recording device unless the match is more than 3 minutes long. This new clip you got... Did it end with a fail or was it a legit combo?

Legit combo, but its similar. might use it for smash shorts, it ends in a spike kill.

Its a new combo I made so when I first show it, I want it to be as good as possible :D

Alright man, good luck with finding a capture card. I don't have one so I can't reccomend anything, but hopefully you can find one before the next update destroys your replays lol

If you just want the kill then you can upload a highlight reel, it's everything but the kills cut out.

Well of course it won't be just true combos, I was simply correcting him/her about calling it a combo so they wouldn't make the mistake I did.

So I gave up on the whole idea of having the music be completely related to Toon Link. I really wanted faster paced music to set a mood for the video, and unfortunately I couldn't find anything that really stood out to me that was either OST or remixed Zelda music.

And so I found this.

And stuff is really getting back on track; I got a new game disc so I can get more clips, and my computer should be fixed within about 2 weeks.

If you have anything that meets the requirements, don't be shy. I think a good length for the video is about 5 to 7 minutes, and we have enough clips for maybe 2:30. If you want, you can either put clips in this thread or send them to me in a PM. Likewise, if you know anyone who might be interested in using their clips, send them here. Let's have as many people in this as we can and really embrace the idea of a community combo video.
