Apparently it's going to have a new battle system? It's gonna feel so off (pun intended) if the battles are remotely interesting and not just something you'll put on auto and forget.
Still, it's super exciting. OFF is one of my favorite indie games - I love this trend of ancient RPG Maker games getting modern remasters.

I’ve come to a random thought:
The Fortnite song Break the Curse would fit Splatoon that if someone played the song without context, I would actually mistake it for a Splatoon song.

So I do have one gripe with Sonic 3.
It's at the climax so here's another
It's Live and Learn.
Sonic and Shadow team up and go Super and Live and Learn starts blaring. I was getting hyped. And then it cut to Eggman and Gerald, and it stopped. The hyped died. And then it cuts back to Super Sonic and Shadow destrpying the GUN robots and Live and Learn starts blaring again and I was getting hyped up, and then it just stops as it cuts back to Eggman.
I lived and learned what blue balls were

They need to do a Silver Generations game but with a catch.
Since Silver has far less material to pull from than either Sonic or Shadow, his stages should be mostly original. That works thematically as he's from the future. Hell, even his white space characters can be original.
Yes I know what I'm describing is just a Silver game that doesn't have to tie into Gens at all but the setup is already there with Shadow Generations, and I feel like Sega should really give Silver some love. They're absolutely not above referencing their embarrassing past mistakes anymore and Silver has endured as a popular character despite his terrible first outing, cmon Sega do it

Without getting too deep into spoilers, how was Sonic's characterization handled in the movie? I'm still expecting him to be an overly goofy kid most of the time but I do hope that he has some genuinely badass moments where he locks in.

There is a part where he fully locks in but that's after big spoilers.

I once had a friend, now an ex friend, who said that Sonic should have the same number of characters in Smash as Mario.

The thing is Sonic 3 start slow and looks like it's going the same direction as 2 with a crap ton of pop-culture references, but then Shadow starts beating everyone's ass and after that it became really good.
That said we really did not need the Eggman dance scene in the middle of the stealth mission.

I get Metal Sonic as an echo, I really do. The thing is I just... can't picture Metal Sonic doing the Spin Dash. I know he does it, or at least I assume he does it in Sonic 4, never played it. But having Metal turn into a nondescript blue ball like Sonic feels... weird. Even in Sonic Dash he just rolls without actually spindashing. And given so much of Sonic's kit is based on that blue ball form... IDK.
Also Silver and Blaze feel iffy to me as picks
