In hindsight, I'm kinda shocked that wasn't the case given that I was heavy into whatever Animation Review Youtube liked. But at the same time, I was also watching Brony cringe compilations.

Also my dad probably would've killed me if I was into MLP.

Finally met up with the family for Christmas. Was overall pretty quiet and a mostly Adult in terms of presents.

Only gaming related things I got was a copy of Emio the Smiling Man (I hope it sells well) and a PlayStation Light Up Display. Beyond that just some Pajamas, Cat Toys, a new Vacuum Cleaner, and a set of Knives/Cups.

When I was younger, this all would have massively bummed me out. As an Adult now though, it's a great excuse to get things I probably need but don't feel the urge to go out and buy myself.

Also got my Father a copy of Godzilla Minus One.

I actually just finished watching through the entire series for the first time before going to see Sonic 3. You could kind of tell in some episodes where the budget was cut back, but the writing was strong enough that it really didn't matter. It definitely deserves to be up there in terms of best Video Game adaptions.

I've already talked about it, but MLP was incredibly important to me in my youth. More than anything, MLP set the standard for what I enjoy most in my cartoons. Honestly, I don't think I'd have the same passion for cartoons as I do today without it.

I personally think Shadow isn't gonna particularly unique here and that we could get the Shadow Androids handled with other Shadows sent to conquer other planets, the Shadow we know simply having gotten Goku'd by Maria's kindness

I think I'm gonna start playing a bunch of Sonic games soon. I have said in the past that while I love the franchise, I haven't played that many of the games.

Not much has changed since I said this but I'm riding the Sonic 3 and Sonadow Gens high so I'll start a sort of Sonic marathon soon - except I'll also be replaying some of the games I have played, meaning I'm basically going through most of the mainline series. I have a guide of definitive ways to play these games and idk if I'll actually play every single one of them but I do wanna get to most of them, I crave to become a Sonic lore expert.

Will be starting with the Genesis games since it's been a while since I played them

Ember, as you can see, is the admin of Team Meltdown. She loves the natural earth, but despises metal, seeing it as a curse upon the natural wonders of the Pokemon world. She believes once Pokemon and humanity began exploiting metal, it became harmful to the Pokemon that relied on natural soil, plants, and survival away from steel structures. She also believes that humanity has become complacent because of metal, and that they have grown weak for their reliance on it. Ember is all about ancestral living in houses of stone and wood, relying on natural materials for life - and to that end, she relies on Fire, Fighting and Ground types to destroy all Steel types. Just like Team Magma, she seeks out Groudon - but unlike Magma, she doesn't desire to 'expand the land' - she simply wishes to use Primal Groudon's power to reset the natural order of Hoenn, completely destroying all metal and steel so Pokemon not reliant on metal can thrive and humanity can return to its ancestral roots.

So basically, Team Meltdown is a group of Luddites, and in terms of battle, they're all about disrupting and destroying Steel types. And I went with Hoenn cuz, y'know, Steven Stone and his love of Steel types.

Yeah that’s the thing. As kids, your current haul would have been boring. But as we age, we mature and our tastes change. It’s pretty eye opening once you finally realize it (or at least it was for me). Plus, as an adult, we can get pretty much anything we want anytime we want. So we don’t have to wait for birthdays or Christmas like we did as kids.

I'm not really a transformers fan but one time when I was a kid I found a 20 dollar bill sticking out of a vending machine outside of Walmart and my parents let me use it to pick out a toy, so I used it on a transformer toy.

Had no idea it was a whole multimedia franchise at the time. I thought it was just an (admittedly cool) toy line. And then the Michael Bay films happened and yeah.

But it is still a pretty cool memory.

I do wonder if the Switch 2’s rumours of graphical upgrades for Switch 1 games might come with the caveat of some (or most) Switch 1 games being left out.

It could be just the big titles, with many smaller games left out of the upgrades. I could also see some Switch 1 games like Breath of the Wild or Xenoblade 2 not get graphical upgrades on Switch 2 in knowledge they would get enhanced ports in the future.

Iirc the rumours were that BotW was shown off for Switch 2 behind closed doors alongside games like FFVII Remake to show off the specs and I believe dataminers found something for TTYD to recognize being played on a Switch 2 and boost the performance. Iirc the rumour was that we'd learn this on the 8th so not too long left
