Given that the plants themselves are alive, is there even a vegan option in the Mario Universe?
Plants in real life are alive.

EDIT: Anyway, to answer the question, yes. Not all plants are sentient. There's recipes in Paper Mario that would be suitable.

I meant the plants have have some form of intelligence in the Mario universe cause they have eyes, can freely roam around, feel pain, and can talk and stuff.

Don't bully me, I'll have you know I passed high school biology a long time ago.

Rewatching Rampage again tonight with my dad. I really want a sequel based on World Tour and Universal Tour featuring Boris, Ruby and potentially other monsters from Total Destruction.

Plot is simple. Turns out those three canisters weren't the only ones in the first movie, others survived the destruction of the space shuttle and landed in other parts of the world, the pathogen infecting other animals like a rhinoceros (Boris) and lion (Leon) in Africa, a lobster (Ruby) and shark (Marco) in the ocean and a mouse (Curtis) somewhere in the world. Davis and George are recruited and along with this military have to stop these rampaging monsters as they travel across the world.

Other possible monsters to be used could be a bull (Rojo) in Spain, a cobra (Kingston) in India, an echidna (Icky) or saltwater crocodile (Crock); Think Lizzie but bigger and meaner; in Australia, etc.

Regeneration is also a good way to bring Lizzie and Ralph back. My idea is due to their regeneration, any subject exposed to the pathogen are only tempory dead depending on the severity of their injuries or wounds. Lizzie revives faster since she was only pierced through her eye and head. Ralph would take longer due to having his head bitten off.

Imagine a scene in the beginning of the film where the military attempts to collect Ralph's body only for it to spring up and run off like a headless chicken, later scene could even a creepy moment where Ralph's head (Only his lower jaw) is slowly regenerating, you see his tongue slopping around.

Edit: Also imagine Boris' introduction scene.

A family is on safari when their tour guide tells them to get out of the Jeep. The family look up to see a large object about to land on them and immediately exit the vehicle. They look at what crushed their Jeep, a bull elephant with a gasping hole in its torso. They feel the ground rumble to see a massive stampede of zebra and antelope heading in their direction. And not far behind, a horned juggernaut with an appetite for destruction.

As far as a story goes for the Purore region idea I'm playing with...apart from the usual Pokemon League storyline (and I'm still blanking on a villain team idea), I wanted there to be a storyline based around the research of Pokemon types, the Typergy phenomena, and where all the types originated. In addition to the box legends that represent physical elements (like Grass and Rock) and energy elements (like Fire and Ice), which are ultimately the hotspots for all the types they're connected too, each of the 19 types (including the brand new Love) are connected in origin to 19 - count 'em, nineteen - different legendaries.

These 19 Legendaries act as bosses in the storyline like SV's Titan Pokemon. The Normal Legendary would be the first you'd challenge, before giving you open-world reign to fight the others in whatever order, with their levels scaling depending on how many you've faced before. These 19 Pokemon are all pure-typed of course and they act as representations of their type in their purest form...whatever that means. They can't be caught in these initial fights, but once you beat them the first time, they'll leave their 'boss arena', allowing you access to the Typergy Crystal of their respective type that they're guarding, and can be found roaming the open world Wild Area from then on for you to catch.

21 legendaries sounds like it'd be a super-cracked number for one gen, but oh well, fits the fact that I'd want the Purore games to be super expansive.

Thanks to Gwen's instigation, THE BET is underway! But will Noi succeed, or suffer a terrible fate? New challenges, old allies, and more await NEXT TIME!

It took me 12 hours to draw all of these. I dunno if you can tell but I was losing it by the last few pages. But I wanted to do more than just black and white doodles this time, it's been three years since THE HEIST. You'll never grow if you just do the same old things!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it so far, it's always fun doing these for you guys. And I hope you enjoy what's to come!

Damn it's been forever since I saw your art, I deadass forgot it looked this good, I'm also kinda flattered at how cool I seem to be here compared to how chaotic I actually am. You got anywhere I can check more of your art out? Only social media I have to properly look at is bluesky but I'm gonna assume you don't have that

What do the Academy Awards know? Look at what they picked for the 2006 Best Picture winner compared to the other nominees…
In 2019 or 2020 an article from VanityFair came out and stated that for decades the Academy voters don’t even watch most of the movies they vote for/vote against. I’ve never watched the awards show since.

Some stuff from Sony's CES conference:

Sony is making an electric vehicle called AFEELA. Will start at $89,900 with a three-year subscription included. It will have Crunchyroll and more.

Ghost of Tsushima is getting an anime based on the online multiplayer of Ghost of Tsushima Legend.

Helldivers is getting a movie.

Horizon Zero Dawn is getting a movie. It'll be a live action movie telling Aloy's origin story.

Season 2 of HBO's The Last of Us comes out in April.
I’ve followed CES for many many years. The last 3-4 years have been really bad imo. I feel like we get better drops all throughout the year than this one time each year at the show.

I high key really really want Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Same. My daughter wants it badly for Switch. It comes out Jan 30, 2025

I’m an old gen (been here since 2003). We have careers, degrees, families….etc. We aren’t like the new gens.

As for kiddos, children are wonderful if you are mentally and emotionally mature enough to raise them correctly. Most people here aren’t and so they don’t have kids. And that’s very ok.

I'm just joking that we're all a bunch of nerds and yeah raising kids is something that needs a massive level of care and planning. I sure as **** know I'm not financially or mentally stable enough for a kid

The first pokemon movie: "Pokemon aren't meant to fight!"

The second pokemon movie: "Pokemon aren't just things to collect!"

Ya know I'm starting think that the anime writers don't understand what pokemon is actually about /j

Ive been told its like Animal Crossing but Sanrio on twitter and now my gf even says its good and then I caught myself putting it on my wishlist on the eshop lol
My daughter said it’s like Hello Kitty Animal Crossing too. There is a version of it on the Apple Arcade if you really wanna play now. I’m waiting for the console version because it includes a ton of unlocked DLC.

These 2 comments are a bit more philosophical than what they mean at face value.

If you live in the world of Pokemon, yes, some people just want to collect and battle. But if you think a bit deeper, Pokemon are more than that. They are pets, helpers, money makers, protectors, pals, and for some…..the only family a person may have. They have much more use than simply collecting and beating each other to a bloody mess.

Oh you have to have Apple TV to play Apple Arcade? That super sucks.
It's not that strict, you can use any Apple device. Still, lots of people have a beef with Apple Arcade because A. you need an Apple device, and B. you need to subscribe to it to play any exclusive games on it, there's no way to buy most of them individually (and when there are ways to buy them individually, it's usually for consoles/PC only, not mobile devices, not that that matters for most of us).

I'd prefer seeing them in this thread, if you feel like you're able. I'm pretty shy about private messaging.
My idea for the Magnetic type is that it's effectively the science type/counterpart to electric.
Super effective against: Electric, Steel, Fairy
Not effective against: Fire, Psychic, Rock, Magnetic
No effect: Dragon

Resistant to: Water, Flying, Ground, Steel
Weak to: Electric, Psychic, Dragon
Immune to: Fairy

Yes I did make Magnetic and Electric super effective against each other.
I thought this made sense as magnetism generates electricity and electricity generates magnetism.
I did think about making Magnetic weak to Fire as this is true in nature, but I realize it would make the latter too offensively powerful so I had compromise.
Psychics tend to break reality so I thought it would work as a counter for Magnetic plus Psychic definitely needs a buff so this was a good excuse.

Your thoughts?
If we had gotten a season 3 of ultimate, which characters would have been your ideal season 3?

My picks:
Doomslayer, Phoenix Wright, Reimu, Dr. Eggman, Waluigi, Ratchet & Clank

More Sonic 3 vs. Mufasa in a nutshell.

Mufasa may have won the box office but Sonic 3 won everyone's hearts.
Look as much as I would like Sonic 3 to crubstomp Mufasa, that's not gonna happen but I'm just happy it's profitible despite the steep competition. Being #1 in the domestic box office for two weeks in a row is very impressive in this context. I can see Sonic 3 reaching the $400 million mark which should make up for the marketing budget and I'm hopeful it can make over $500 million before it's theater run ends. Despite making more money than Sonic, Mufasa has yet to break even as it has make $500 million to recuperate its production budget. It is possible Mufasa can reach this milestone, but it needs to account for the $100 million marketing budget which means it has to make $600 million as a low-ball or $750 million as a high-ball. I'm ultimately glad Sonic 3 is a success and I hope Disney can stride to be better.
Man, just heard something bad.

My sister's husband, my brother-in-law, has this blood leak in his brain due to drinking. My sister told me it was a really bad thing, and though he is able to do things like walk or talk still, I am very concerned about him now.
So sorry for the late response but I hope your brother-in-law recovers

I was not prepared for Pokemon Movie 2000 to hit me with Weird Al during the end credits. What the heck.
I know I watched that movie at least a couple times as a kid (although not nearly as much as I watched the 1st one) but somehow I have no memory of that song whatsoever. Either I always skipped past the credits or I just forgot about that song because I had no idea who Weird Al was.

Anyway, overall I can't say I'm a huge fan of that movie. I think the whole Chosen 1 plotline feels out of place and doesn't really fit with the series' greater themes of how anyone can be a pokemon trainer (although I guess that's more a theme of the games then the early anime). Also a little disappointing how it didn't feel like the movie was trying to say anything meaningful after the existentialism of Mewtwo strikes back but eh, it's pokemon, I shouldn't always expect too much there.

Seeing that Kanto-birds as almost godlike figures and Team Rocket having a chance to save the day was still cool though. And the movie's score was still pretty good at least.
These 2 comments are a bit more philosophical than what they mean at face value.
The /j means "joke" but yeah, I get that it's really about the writers are wanting to send messages about having compassion towards others. It's still kind of ironic though.

Considering the handful of smash characters with really samey alt colors and the fact that Nick Brawl and Multiversus don’t even have standard records… something tells me that might be the biggest sticking point in licensing agreements.

I predict that it could make between the $450m to maybe slightly towards to the $500m mark. But then again, I have heard that Sonic 3 is also heading to PVOD on January 21st which could have a slight impact on its theatrical run.

I think Mufasa could very well end up doing somewhere between $600m to $700m (which is doable) considering how well it has been doing with its theatrical run (especially worldwide.)

I'm ultimately glad Sonic 3 is a success and I hope Disney can stride to be better.
I'm on the same boat as you. Glad that Sonic 3 reached its goal and like you said, I do hope that Disney will get back to their usual standards of quality for all their divisions (WD animation, Pixar, Marvel Studios etc.) within their upcoming projects.

Disney getting better?

Hahahahahahahahahahaha- no...

They're gonna make a live-action remake of every Disney animated film they made until there's none left. Lol.

Live-action Zootopia will be nightmare fuel.

Disney is now feeling mortal and the world sees it. Sure box office sales can't be beaten now, but Sonic has given Disney a surefire reminder about the viewers and fans.

I had a Twitter that I used but now that place is a cesspool. I’ve been thinking getting a bluesky but there’s a few things I need to work on before I start posting art. Getting a new tablet for one, my current one is at the end of its rope.

I’m trying to improve my artistic presence this year so whenever I make my accounts I’ll probably link it.

I'm late to reply to this as well, but I'm praying that your brother in law makes a full and swift recovery. That condition sounds like an absolute nightmare.
