1) the government can't make a Japanese company not put something in their games and 2) Japan has currently ruled the ban on same sex marriage as unconstitutional so there is a chance it may be acceptable in the game

You’re right, I forgot the government issued a federal ban on gay marriage in Tomadachi Life specifically to keep Professor Pumpkaboo in check. If we gave her that kind of power, it could be the end of civilization.

I still don’t know why they’re doing this aside from the lending thing. You already could download games across multiple systems you own if you sign into your account. So why are they introducing this slightly game-ified version of it now. They have to be using it as a smoke screen for taking something away that we already use and take for granted. There’s no other reason to re-introduce a feature the system already had.
