Metroid Prime Weapons
1: Chozo weapons and even gaining the Phazon suit.....which was then taken to give birth to Dark Samus
2 Echoes: Light and Dark weapons from traveling Aether's versions. Did end the Ing's reign after stealing all of Dark Aether's panet lifeforce.
3 Corruption: Phazon as due to Dark Samus corrupting them. Eventually, Phazon was eradicated forever after Dark Samus's defeat on Planet Phazze.
4 Beyond: Psychic energy and weapons

It's quite surprising to see two Sony IP's from the Direct.

I'm still not fully on board that Sony wants to partake in a certain crossover series yet though.

Tbh I think people are sleeping on the Marvel game I thought that looked kinda sick

Also Rhythm Heaven coming back is a rare Nintendo W
Yeah the Marvel beat 'em up is the best announcement of the direct for me as a whole. The devs really love the old arcade era MvC titles (which tracks considering their TMNT game had animation references to old SF, MvC and GG games) and there's some fun deeper pulls in there like Phylla-Vel and I love the tag mechanic being a thing.

And given how they handle DLC, the roster's gonna be great.

Wait isn’t Phylla-Vel a girl? I noticed the character in the trailer and it was a boy. I know Mar-Vel has a son so I figured that was him.

The Direct was alright. Not outstanding, but it had a lot of cool new game announcements, even with the lack of a Deltarune announcement.

Metroid Prime 4 and Legends Z-A both look awesome, as does the new Rhythm Heaven game, the announcement of which was a genuinely pleasant surprise. I'm definitely going to pick up Gradius Origins as well as some of the remakes of older games like Dragon Quest and Patapon, since, while I've not played a game from either franchise before, they both look genuinely fun and I've been meaning to get into the former franchise at some point. I'll probably get the Cursed Cafe as well since the idea of iconic Disney villains all going to a modern cafe is just too hilarious of a game idea to miss out on.

The only things I'm truly disappointed about are the lack of Deltarune stuff and Pikmin 4 DLC, albeit I wasn't really expecting the latter game to get any DLC at this point.

There's a lot of Yonic coochie doors in that Prime 4 trailer. Truly Geiger's vision.

That was definitely a woman. Watch it again. She looks relatively close to her comic design. If you're talking the buff dude with long brown hair, that's Nova, who had his hair sticking out during the 90's for a bit, cause it was the style at the time.

Why not just have venom as a boss so more heroes can be playable?
1. Venom's more popular than the vast majority of Marvel heroes.

2. Venom's been an Anti-Hero for decades at this point. If not outright a full hero.

3. The game is gonna have 15 characters at launch, which for a beat-em-up is actually kind of insane.

Yeah right. I will never buy that. I’m always gonna put him in the “villain” column.
It’s the wielder of the weapon that makes the symbiote.

After Peter Parker’s high school bully blew his legs off in Afghanistan he became a good Venom for a while. And then got killed off but whatever

I think Eddie Brock’s son Dylan has Venom in the comics rn, but if anything he’s just an angsty teen Venom

Ok also when I say venom I always mean Eddie Brock. I know these aliases get passed around but like… Eddie Brock is the venom and he’s one of the most iconic spider-man villains.
Piccolo, Knuckles, Shadow, Zuko, Protoman, Kevin 11, Ashi, Kaine, Rogue, Android 18, Garaa.
comic books are different. No matter what they will always have an iconic status quo they will and should revert to and is the starting place for new media adaptations. Drastically straying from it is pointless because it will always come back.

I literally listed Rogue from the X-Men, started out as a villain, turned hero and never looked back. Same with Kaine Parker, who is ALSO from Spider-Man. And Eddie went to being Anti-Hero since the 90's. And was a full on hero since the 2010's. Peter Parker still graduated High School and grew into his 20's, Batman still adopted children after **** Grayson, Reed and Sue still got married. Cyborg and Starfire are also no longer teenagers. **** is still Nightwing. Rhodey is still War Machine.

And that's not even getting into how manga ARE comics. So Piccolo and 18, and Vegeta still count.

As much as people complain about status quo, and many times, rightfully so. There's also plenty of changes that still stick. It's not really black and white, they flip and flop about what **** to keep.
