But that’s the thing, last year they did the same thing last May for the entire month.

True, but there is one difference.

With the previous events, it was a part of the season, but did not intrude on the theme. So last year had Star Wars in a Greek Mythology season or the year before, Star Wars in a Japan themed season.

This time, the theme of the season is Star Wars. Meaning it is considered “Chapter 6 Season 3” and fits into the lore of Fortnite instead of being a one off event every year.

Also, I think the focus last year was on the other modes. Lego Fortnite in particular got a beefy update that also doubles as permanent content. Hence why BR content was so small.

Either way, I just want a Battle Droid with a “Roger Roger” emote.

Man I picked up Hey Pikmin just before the 3DS store shut down and even as the biggest or second biggest Pikmin fan in this thread I couldn't make it past world 3.

At least Olimar's notes were as charming as usual.

Also, possible hot take coming up, but Hey Pikmin's OST is better than Pikmin 4's

Prime 1 and Prime 2 is pretty much a Mega Man X and Mega Man X2 situation for me. Both games are HEATERS and I have a hard time deciding which one is more peak.

It's almost hard to believe that tomorrow will be the very last Nintendo Direct for the Switch 1 before the next generation of Nintendo console.

It'll probably stay a little longer like the 3DS. Though I imagine less so than the PS4 will. Especially if Switch 2 is about the same level. Cause then PS4 could get some extra years to its life the same way PS2 got a ton of extra games that were also on the Wii.

Sure, Oda was never great at giving women distinct looks but their initial designs masked it better.

I'll admit that I haven't actually played Hey! Pikmin, either, but I don't mind that they made a spin-off because it helps get word about the series out there. Pikmin 3 and nostalgia from older fans of the series really helped gradually bring the series into the spotlight, and Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Pikmin 4's massive successes have solidified it as another major Nintendo IP and a beloved modern game franchise in general.

And actually, I'm not sure if that's necessarily a hot take. There's a lot of changes about Pikmin 4 that people are fairly divided on, but the one thing that almost everyone seems to agree on is that most of the game's soundtrack is way too relaxed and atmospheric for a Pikmin game, especially when every other game in the series is well known for having creative and striking OSTs.

...With that said, Pikmin 4 still has the occasional awesome song that's an exception to it's otherwise "meh" OST. Probably most notably, and my personal favorite, this one:

That said, yeah Nami's probably my least favorite of the new designs. Just a bikini top and jeans. I get that she's the designated hot girl, but it's just... not interesting. She rocks the long hair though.

Honestly I think the problem with Chopper specifically is he got cutiefied when him being kind awkward looking was really charming
