Trouble with fox and sonic

Hi! I'm having a lot of trouble with these match ups. Fox and his shine spikes gimp me very often, I always feel terrified if I am near the edge vs a fox. Otherwise the matchup actually goes fairly well, but my buddy spikes me almost every game. Sonic's approach on the other hand always catches me, I feel like I always lose the neutral game allowing him to get in my face with combos. Any Veteran ivysaurs have some tips for these matchups, or how to best counter these specific issues? Thanks!

Still working on fox... same problems as C. Falc, but worse because of shine, they can just bait out all of our moves with DDing and be half way across the stage and back while our moves are still coming out. They can beat out our projectile, and in foxes case even reflect it back... Their neutral game destroys ours.

When you're coming back to get to the ledge, throw out a fair or two to deter those foxes from trying to shine spike you, and mix up when and where you reel in your tether. Coming back from the ledge is pretty hard. You have to bait out the u-smash or shine they will be going for hard. You have to play very patiently and a super lame. Take your time, and I wouldn't come back from the ledge unless you land either a VERY careful fair or RL. And neither of these are easy to get, if possible at all depending on the skill level/patience of the Fox.

As for Sonic... he falls victim to our zoning. Very little he can do about Razor Leaf, which leads into really good stuff as you should already know. Bait him out with retreating RLs and Bairs. D-titl should also work wonders in neutral. he's combo food for Nair, see how much that SoB likes it when he gets spun all over. Answer: not at all. Optional: every time you win neutral scream YOU'RE TOO SLOW this should make the sonic player salty and play less intelligently
