USB Wifi Connector: What do i do?

Hi. I use a Wi-fi USB connector to connect online because my router is all the way on the other side of the house. Thus, my Wii can't get it's signal. I'm not quite ready to shell out ~$90 for a signal booster, so I need some help.

I see threads about port forwarding, so I tried that, and I don't think it helped. I'm overall kindof confused about the situation because...well here's a crappy ASCII diagram

Computer on other side of house(that receives ISP)_____Router____My computer___USB- - - - -Wii

Maybe I'm not forwarding them correctly? Should I be forwarding them to my comp or the one that receives the ISP or..?

My main problem is input lag. When playing with friends, I've never gotten a connection better than a yellow circle. I'm unsure on how close they've been to me. The port forwarding to my own computer didn't help.

If I can't figure this one out I think I'm gonna get a hub from my comp to get a direct connection to the Wii, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
