Hey, tech chase with upsmash instead of downsmash. It leads to straight combos and it looks cool and down smash can't do the exact same thing.
Yes, as one is a vertical launcher which can lead to a guaranteed follow up, and the other is not.
???

I don't think there's anything wrong with threads like this.. they don't really go anywhere but it's a decent tip that wouldn't get noticed if posted in a huge sheik guide

dthrow's still better. it can lead to punch regrab, it's insanely easy to tech chase falcon so there's no excuse, blah blah blah.

jab resetting into a grab won't work on falcon with a downthrow if he DIs it correctly, which good a good falcon often does. found that shiz out when i played darkrain. dthrow is still more useful, in my opinion, but i'm sure uthrows in a match to mix it up will **** with a falcon's head.

i know it won't, but if they Di correctly it's easier to tech chase.
i uthrow a falcon when they're at a high percentage and they're near a platform. easy kill.
Whoever keeps closing this, just stop and trust that I'm not trying to be a complete idiot.
Also, tech chases are not "easier" than an uthrow-dash attack combo. If you're exceptionally good at reading your opponent's techs then go for it, but many times guaranteed follow-ups work better. Starting at around 50%, a dash attack from a DI'd uthrow will be a guaranteed combo on CF, which will lead to more outright juggling. If he doesn't DI for some reason, you can utilt, which is also a comboing attack.
Dthrow tech chases in PAL don't work too great as they recover from the tech before Sheik can reach them half the time if they DI away.

Like Luma says, in PAL, uthrow ***** dthrow. At low %'s you can tech chase, at higher percents it leads to combos, the only thing dthrow sets up for is tech chase or dash attack/tilt if they have horrible DI.

uthrow doesnt **** downthrow in Pal
spacies can airrecover and shine you before you can do anything, and you can do some combos against floaties with downthrow, but you cannot with upthrow
the only char it migth be better on is CF (topic? ^^), but i´m not too experienced against CF

they only can move before u when they are like m2k (or if u just suck)
most ppl DI the upthrow anyway so u cant tap tp regrab or ftilt, depends on % and DI

how about the combo of UPSMASH UPSMASH UPSMASH UPSMASH on captain falcon.. i like to follow his tech with more upsmash.. once in awhile upsmash out of the shield.. you know its pretty much the ****
