Was I the only one who thought this?

When I heard "ROB" was going to be in Brawl, I immediately thought of this familiar character.

I was excited to know that my favorite bomb-delivering robot was in Brawl. But then I saw footage of him. That is not the Rob I know and love.. To be honest I was a little disappointed. Who is this R.O.B. and was I the only one that thought it was this Rob?

I thought of both. One said that it was from Star Fox and I was angry.. That actual R.O.B. isn't bad though.
