Why is Sheik's SH higher than most?

It throws me off, I find I don't pull off SHFFLed aerials fast enough since there's a longer wait time to hit the peak of your SH.

What should I do to compensate?

Don't SHFFL with Sheik? Her SHFFL game is comparatively weak, but she does just fine with platform-dropped aerials and needles.

Or, you can follow Drephen's advice.

For sake of brevity, and seeing enough of Drephen's posts, and watching him play god knows to much, I will give you a summary of what he will most likely say.

*achem*

Grab and downsmash. Period.

Forward SHFFLs his F-Air a lot; it's actually a pretty good tactic. Maybe not great for everybody, but at least he uses it well. He's the only person I've seen do this consistently, but Forward generally has an unorthodox playstyle--it's what makes him great.

One of the good techniques to shffling with Sheik is the dash sh back (should see the backward jump animation) to spaced fair. It's a good way to shffl when people feel pressure and shield as you will keep your distance. The one nice thing about it is it makes it easy to avoid other shffl approaches and dash attacks if your timing is really tight.

shffling is good, but u have to wait and attack a little later so u can hit ther person as ur falling or else ull usually attack right above their head (unless ur fast enough and can hit them while u rise and on the way down). But shffling isnt jsut about a bunch of airels, it lets u perform and aeiral and follow up like doing a fair then a grab, jab or tilt.

Just get used to her short hop by practicing, there really is no easy way out in this game. Just get used to it or find what works for u.

I'm actually very used to Sheik's SH. What I'm trying to do now is figure out good followups/combos after something like a SHFFLed fair.
