that's a pretty inspirational story actually. my first tournament ever was pound 4 and it's the only national i've been too since. i haven't gone try hard mode and since it's been a little over a year and i've been getting better recently i think i'm ready to try hard. with our best player in ct; swiftbass, moving to my city i plan on training with him a LOT and i think it's one step to becoming reallly good.
Hey Axe, I was wondering about a few things, and I was hoping you might be able to help me out.
1) I was wondering if you could tell me about the Pika/Falcon MU. I've been researching lesser played MUs so that I don't get caught off guard in tourney, and it seems like this is a match up that would really be frustrating if I didn't understand it. So if you could tell me for example what you look out for from Pika's perspective, what you're doing/what your strategy is. Thanks!
2) Also, this is a bit more theoretical right now, but I was maybe thinking about recreating the old Overswarm advanced how to play character videos, and I was wondering if you might be up to helping me with Pika?

Heylo, quick question/statement: I understand AZ is a huge state. How / more importantly what did you practice in your room when you couldn't make it out to smashfests? Long hours or short bursts? Did you watch tons of videos? and when was your first tournamenttttt? When did you start placing well / traveling more? I love you.

I play him mainly from SSB, and I recently picked him up for some trouble matchups in brawl but I might play him a lot more once I get used to him.
But watching your vids from pound made me realize he's really viable in melee, I didn't know he did so well vs jiggz that was pretty incredible.
I didn't play him at first because there was a melee player in my area that played him and I don't like to play the same character as people.

You inspire me to pick up pika for melee, but I bet you hear that all the time.
