  • I've thoroughly enjoyed every single mainline game in the Pokémon series thus far, But it seems to be on an unsustainable path where New Pokemon are added but they face backlash if they don't add every single past pokemon then it will be seen as a disappointment but we are nearing 1000 pokemon and soon the national dex won't be feasible at all. I wish Gen 8 brought with it a clean slate but I digress.

How I think they should fix it is. they should do the Regional dex only for the main game whatever that may be and then build the game around that. Then Pokemon Home should add some large features like a truncated version of Pokemon Camping and a battle simulator like Pokemon Showdown so you can still interact with the pokemon you have transferred even if you are not able to use them in the mainline game.

cashregister9 cashregister9 Yo-Kai Watch is NOT the kind of game where you can play 1 game and expect it to be the same every time. 2 is practically double in content, scale and quality what 1 was and 3 is practically double the content, scale and quality 2 was.

Yo-Kai Watch 3 is EASILY 5 times the scale and beauty SWSH is.

Also you clearly didn't get far if you really think it's not interactive. 30 minutes into the game and you can get your butt beaten to bloody pulp if you try to let the game play itself and you're bad at it.

Already made my own video detailing that kind of thing. Have a watch.

I just want to say Yo Kai watch is an overall great series.

I tend to notice a pattern where SWSH's mediocrity tries to get justified when compared to the accomplishments of games like DQM and YKW, they always seem to downplay those games either by completely ignoring the counterpoints they provide or (in this case among others) criticizing them for flaws they don't actually have because they never actually played the game if not at least done some research.

I recall one such person claiming Yo-Kai Watch doesn't have rare tradable variants, a competitive format or a giant monster battling multiplayer mode. Had they played the game or done research, they'd know it has all those things and to arguably better quality.
To those who are saying Chun-li is highly likely allow me to pick your brain for a moment (This is not meant to be rude I'm just genuinely curious), Would you have thought that Chun-Li was highly likely after Sephiroth if there was not (essentially) a Green Text post saying that Chun-li was removed? It seems like people are leaning way to hard into a leak because it said something slightly different than other fake leaks. The whole "Dropped deals" thing isn't even concrete or confirmed it just something made up to talk about. Again I'm not trying to be rude or trying to change your mind I'm just curious. (I think Chun-li does have a chance just not that big of a one.)

If it was just "Chun-Li cut from base game" I wouldn't put any stock into the leak. But the fact this leak dropped in during the week of Ultimate's release and they said Steve, Erdrick, and Sephiroth were all worked on and considered all the way back than 2 years ago is really big food for thought to make it somewhat believable. Of course it could be fake, but the fact Steve, Erdrick/Hero, and Sephiroth all came way later as DLC makes this leak here very convincing at the moment:

I wish for the day when Smash Brothers fans will not immediately think a new Pokemon is inherently bad.

I'd be fine with it if it didn't come off as shallow newer gen advertising like Greninja and Incineroar.
    Wigglerman
    Wigglerman
DrCoeloCephalo DrCoeloCephalo Honestly I feel Greninja was a fair choice and his play style is pretty fun. Incineroar was the Poké rep I never knew I wanted/needed. In the very end it's what the character would bring to the table that would matter. Even if they chose the 'lamest/ugliest' Pokémon if it's move set was unique and fun then I'd be far more accepting than if it was a 'marketable' one with a boring move set.

Fun is a preferential, subjective concept. Different people find different things fun.

I do not find playing as a slippery Shiek fun, a slow as mollasses grappler fun nor what is essentially a worse Wario in Jigglypuff fun.

I'd rather have fun playing as another small fast character that can go toe to toe with Pikachu without playing Pichu like Meowth whose addition is far more deserving.
Here is how I'd rank the Pokemon Generations I like all of them but I still like some more than others

    1: 5
    2: 4
    3: 8
    4: 7
    5: 6
    6: 3
    7: 2
    8: 1

    3>5>1>4>2>7>6>8

Only reason 7 is above 6 and 8 is because it at least has slightly more memorable humans and some okay ideas, albeit watered down soulless ideas Yo-Kai Watch already gave us to higher quality.

Phoenix Douchebag Phoenix Douchebag the video is the Boogeyman from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy demonstrating a showcase to a court on how many times people stoled the scythe from the Grim Reaper. The trial being whether or not Grim should still be the Grim Reaper because of this.
    Phoenix Douchebag

I know the context of the video, i watched Billy and Mandy. I just don't see how it correlates to Smash.

Maybe what cashregister9 cashregister9 is trying to reference in the video to the community is that most people are like "My character should get in!" "No! My character should get in!". Basically the characters stealing Grim's scythe being a reflection on the Smash community arguing on who should be in Smash.
Sonic Forces was pretty good, Nothing groundbreaking or spectacular but it was a fun time. I hope they bring back the Avatar concept in the future.

My main issue was that it took an unfair criticism of Sonic Unleashed and Generations-"Boost To Win"-and made that the entire point of the game. Besides that it was just really lacking in the creative and storytelling departments.
    DrCoeloCephalo

Fun is subjective. Anyone can have fun with a bad game. The jump felt way too floaty, so precise platforming just wasn't possible. Even Classic Sonic suffered from this. I would sooner recommend getting Generations either on 3DS or PC over this title. I spent Nintendo Gold Coins and I don't regret NOT spending money on it. Trash.

Who knows what's gonna happen if he doesn't show up tomorrow.

On the one hand, I don't see two characters from the same company being in the same pass.

On the other, not bringing him back when it's the absolute perfect opportunity to is really strange.

On the other other hand, skipping the opportunity to announce a niche, fan favorite Mario character is in Smash in some way during Mario's 35th celebrations would be an even stranger move.

Basically: If he isn't there tomorrow, he will exist in limbo until he's either in, or DLC ends and he's not. :nifty:

Calm down when it comes to Fortnite, First off we don't even know if a character is getting in, second off No one is forcing you to like it if it does get in, Third off It's just a character in a game not the 8th coming of Satan or whatever, You can dislike it or dislike the idea, just don't attack people for it.
The people who are like "I can't believe Nintendo would do something like this" must have been living under a rock because Nintendo have been staunch and unmoving for decades, They are in the legal right to do this, It's not even close to morally correct, of ****ing course they have 0 morals, They're a corporation. Much like with every other corporation out there, even the biggest gamer Strawman of them all EA, The heart Are the individuals who make the games special. Every company is scummy, Corporations are built for profit and not much else, They are not your friend. You don't need to try to defend them.
I hate the notion that assist trophies only exist to "spit in the face of fans" the characters are still there fighting alongside Mario, Steve etc. I would rather have them be playable but they are still a major part of the game.

Just because you play comp does not mean that casual does not exist.
Ever think about how Minecraft Steve crashed Twitter but taking down one of the most maligned world leaders did not?

It probably would've had a much bigger reaction on social media if the election wasn't being dragged on by the mail in ballots being counted late, as well as the discussion of BS lawsuits flying around and being thrown out. We kind of saw it coming anyways, so it wasn't too big of a surprise. Still glad that orange jackass is finally getting kicked out soon. It was a long wait, but the wait was worth it.

Dragging out the election probably did save us the trouble of instant civil unrest had the results been called day 1. Reactions would've been far more tense from every side.

Though "taking down" is an overstatement. Trump is very much alive and breathing to run through the next few months before Biden officially enters the white house, and Republicans still hold the senate as Democrats failed to secure a blue wave. There's no doubt they will demand recounts and drag this out for much longer.
    Late Night Tired thoughts

In a hypothetical non videogame Fighter's Pass this is who I'd want it to be
    -Goku
    -Spiderman
    -Luffy
    -Kamen Rider Ex-aid

    No Homer Simpson? =<
    Wario Wario Wario
    Wario Wario Wario
    I'd go with:

    Batman
    Goku
    SpongeBob
    Homer Simpson
    Raptor (Jurassic Park)

Mostly western, but with a decent balance IMO of comedy and action characters. (3 act. vs. 2 com.)
    Champion of Hyrule
    Champion of Hyrule
    I’d want:
    Batman
    Spider-Man
    Jotaro
    James Bond
    Homer Simpson

All characters who are important when it comes to videogames, and would definitely take their videogame appearences and moves from videogames. I left out Goku because I think he has too much stuff to draw from for a proper Smash moveset, and it would be impossible to properly represent everything he can do
Wii Fit Trainer and Duck Hunt are like the 2 characters I always forget are in the game.

Not me. I don't forget about anybody that enters Smash's halls. Once a character get's into the Smash roster, their name is glorified in the video game hall of fame forever.

I always forget about half of the FE's, Greninja, Lucario, Palutena, Shulk, and Mii Swordfighter (yes, the swordfighter specifically). Proabbly a few I'm forgetting obviously.

MOBAs aren't really 'that' big in Japan tbh. Even League of Legends isn't really as massive as it is here or in China.

I mean... Yeah you're right. A MOBA could potentially promote those brands overseas? I was just spit balling with that idea anyways.
My only real disappointment with Steve's moveset is the lack of bow. But everything else seems really fun and faithful

Huh. You made me realize that Steve actually doesn't have a move that uses a bow. I somehow forgot about that.
I assume it would be too strong to give Steve a proper projectile, especially because of the potential he has to camp. I also assume that they couldn't find a way to implement arrows with the crafting mechanic, and Steve having infinite arrows when they're a limited resource in the game would be awkward. There is infinity though, lol.

But the lack of something so iconic is odd. They should've used it in a throw or aerial.
    Did everyone just forget that
-Bomberman was already an assist trophy
-The Squid Sisters are Mii costumes thus making them the first Assists to have costumes as DLC

This isn't a criticism of anyone it is just kinda weird lol
