Work In Progress SWF Community Voted Tier List - 3.0 COMPLETE

Well... Missed that part but that is what I'd change about the current list. I think Ryu, when played optimally, is a force to be reckoned with. Top 10 though? His hurt box is a little big and he's not really fast. Didn't look up his frame data but does he have an out to low percent juggles...

    Practicing not helping

Not at all. Most people just want numbers. Interest is normally all you need. If you're interested in getting better, there's probably a crew that'd be happy to help.

Most Challenging MU for your Main.

:yoshi2::sheik: Yoshi has a really hard time against Sheik. (Like everyone else) I can't speak for the other Yoshi players out there, but my game becomes almost completely reactive. You can't really bait or throw out generally safe options, like retreating fair. Edge guarding is next to...

Work In Progress SWF Community Voted Tier List - 3.0 COMPLETE

-1 Ryu (good character but not top 10 good) +1 Captain Falcon ( He should not be under Yoshi, and that's coming from a Yoshi main. ) +1 MK ( Deserves top 10. Amazing kill potential with minimal reads. His only downfall is that his approach game is linear and his range isn't great.) +1 Olimar...

    Peeking at your opponents controller?

I've never really thought about but it doesn't seem scummy. If you can use it to figure out di and get confirms out of throws... do it. I feel like it might turn into a bad habit though.

    Cash vs. Tournament

I money match at my locals all the time. Same rules apply unless otherwise stated. (2 stock 6 mins, legal stages) For instance, if you're better than the other guy but you want him to bet more/have a chance, you can give him a stock advantage and take off the timer. Just recently, I played a...

    Practicing not helping

The only way to get better at this game is to lose to better players.... Repeatedly. I used to think I was good because I was taking small local events with Little Mac. Like you, ego was a BIG hurdle I had to overcome. I advise finding local players and possibly joining a crew. Ideally, you want...

    How viable are trees?

Thanks for the resources. I'm definitely watching a lot of this and going to lab for next thursday. So far, Villager seems like a good decision. My friend was telling me I needed to really branch out from Mac. The big thing I need to work on is spacing smashes because Mac's forward smash has...

    How viable are trees?

I picked up Villager yesterday because I wanted to try him out at locals. I ended up getting 3rd but there were a few times I just switched to Little Mac because he's really familiar to me. (Worth noting, there were only 12 people) That being said, I feel like there are subtleties to Villager's...
