Haha, no worries. I'm not into anime either, but it's still a great game. I think it was just trying to go for an anime aesthetic. And the game only has four buttons: A, B, C, and D. So, you would just have to set the buttons to your stick. For example, mine is Type B: thumb on D, and then A, B, and C on my fingers.
Well, there's arcade mode, which is basically what you'd expect. But if you want to delve in deeper, there's also a story mode, which is where all the talking and whatnot takes place. The roster has 12 characters, which doesn't really seem like a lot, but none of them are clones. All of the characters are completely different. They're also releasing it in the PAL region with more characters in a few months, so I'm sure we'll get the new characters in DLC or something. But yeah, you definitely don't need a huge roster with this game. The characters are so different.
