Oh...problem. My copy of Melee might not work. I'm not sure. Recently it had been giving me trouble so I tried every CD repairing remedy I could think of. And then I used a disk doctor or something to restore it. Which ended up clearing up the scratches--but got A TON of gunk on it. So I needed to clean that up. So I spent like an hour popping the disk in, seeing if it works, and when it didn't popping it out and hand cleaning it with my own spit. Surprisingly, that did the trick. It works for the most part, or at least it was earlier today. But a second ago it was giving me trouble again. So I'm not sure what to make of it.

I can definitely bring my Wii, but that might not be of use unless I can bring in a full setup. Let me know what you want me to do, though. I'm going to keep trying to fix my copy of Melee, though. I don't have the cash to buy a new one ><;; Well, I do, but I need to use it for something more important. ;/ I can ask my friend if I can borrow his (I think he has two copies of Melee--although I have no clue why. I think he told me he got it just because he thought it'd come in handy sometime. I guess this is the time XD).

By the way, apparently Elen's not going to Mass Madness!? That is madness! I feel like that's not right or something. I'm not happy with Jared at all. I say we kidnap him. That's my vote.

Ah. Well--I just know even other Christians who find my lifestyle pretty weird. I guess it's because I actually try to follow the Bible--meaning I don't swear, drink (prior to being 21, and even after I wouldn't drink to get drunk), have sex prior to marriage, and am working very evangelistically on my campus.

Some people tend to call me a devout Christian or a radical Christian--I don't really get it. The way I see it, I'm just a Christian, meaning that I do my best to follow the Bible. Some of what it says is pretty radical and requires a person who's devout, but that doesn't make me a radical or devout Christian. I'm just a Christian--I don't see it as more complicated than that.

I don't know--maybe that was more information than you needed. I just like people to know fully what I mean when I say I'm a Christian. Because I've met a lot of people who don't even believe in Jesus or know anything He said and still refer to themselves as "Christians"--But that's not an attack on you, if it sounds like it. I have no idea where you stand in regards to that.

This may seem pretty weird, but I go to church at least 3 times a week (Sunday mornings, and Wednesday and Friday nights) as well as lead a Bible Discussion Group on campus on Mondays and before that meet with a group of brothers in Christ for a few hours to get a chance to talk. I know it's kinda weird for people who aren't used to that--but I figured I'd give you the lowdown so you weren't confused.

Hmmm...then it might not be worth it to head over there on Friday. I'd get there by 10 at the earliest, and probably later. I have church from like 8 until 9:30ish, and everyone sticks around for at least half an hour to an hour and a half. So I think I'll just arrange to get a ride with John on Saturday.

All right. And I'll be able to make it to the tournament. The other guy in the double date can't make it. So we'll just reschedule.

And I'll see if I can guarantee a ride with John or something. I'd rather know if I can make it or not. And am I staying the night at your place?

I intend to. So unless a bus hits me, then yeah.

One question, can I get a ride from your house to Mass Madness? Or do I need a ride from there to the tournament?

I don't know if you saw my post recently, but I wanted to update you anyway. If my friend's going we can probably bring two tvs, one gamecube, one wii, and two copies of Melee. If he's not going I can bring my Wii, a copy of Melee, and a power strip. I just can't lug a tv on the T with me. So unless I can get a ride, I can't bring a full setup. Sorry about the short notice.

But really, the only forseeable thing that could stop me from going is that I've been planning a double date for a while and everyone's schedules have been colliding. The 28th might be the only day it would work out. But I honestly think I'm all right. It's a tough call: Going on a date with a girl I could see myself marrying or going to my first tournament. ;/ I know I'd choose her, but let's just hope it doesn't come down to that XD

Yeah, I could still take the bus, I guess. We can talk about it a bit more as it gets nearer to the day.
