    hmmm i more or less agree with you. brawl really isn't that "bad" there are just a few things that need serious tweaking for the top and bottom characters...i think the problem is that they are attempting to balance the cast to too high a level. plus things like the bowser fsmash or wolf/fox/peach side b shenanigans...the main reason for those things is that they want to attract more players but i believe it's going to have the opposite effect, when you consider the audience that they are targeting (Brawl tournament players).

    ~I actually decided to pick up math as well, mainly because he feels alil simular to olimar, and I like his playstyle. Also because his disadvantages aren't great or lethal, and he does pretty good against mk, who by the way is the only character I lost to in the tournament.

    I know. Oregon and Washington wouldn't really mind a MK ban that much; we have quite a fun amount of diversity here. If anything, I would just go to Snake/DDD/G&W; all characters which I am pretty comfortable with.

    From what I've seen though, it seems as if NJ won't be banning MK anytime soon. There seems to be just too much resistance in the Atlantic North overall.

    After reading like the last 50 pages of the MK thread, I am so infinitesimally close to switching to pro-ban.

    You're right, the community needs to decide which option is going to benefit everyone the most. There will be people who will always ***** no matter what is done, but that's always a given.

    Pierce, I absolutely love your responses on playing with noobs.

    Within the past months I've also been trying my hand at educating players at becoming more competent at competitive Brawl, and yes, playing against noobs is also a perfect opportunity to develop skills with random characters.

    Would you find it amusing that my goal with one particular subject is to have this lesser experienced player learn how to beat my Ganondorf consistently (he mains Pit anyhow)?

    I found your both your posts in the Meta Knight discussion thread very intriguing. However, I am not completely sold on banning MK. I was anti-ban on the 4th voting, but now I've gone back to somewhat neutral.

    The thing I hate so much is that the community is in a lose-lose situation. If MK is banned, it will just divide the community even further in terms of normal and MK banned tournaments for example. On the other hand, if MK isn't banned, the game is going to continue to decay from the inside out.

    I'll make a very nice post in that thread when I get the chance soon, given the 3-day weekend and all that.
