I've used #1 myself in the opposite situation. Someone is trying to use an attack that is ridiculously strong/fast, and I simply dodge and smash. Eventually, they'll call me cheap, and I'll tell them to "adapt" by not using the same attack so often.

For me, the opposite has been happening since the last couple of weeks. My lag has gotten worse, and all of the connection dots that were green are now red. And no, nothing has been changed with my connection.

A few weeks ago, my internet connection with Brawl diminished severely. I went from having Green connection circles to Red with everyone I played with. Now it looks like my Brawl buddies are ostracizing me. Anyone know why my internet would slow down all of the sudden (I haven't changed...

I think that if you're gonna turn on Smash Balls, then you might as well turn on all of the items that aren't auto-game winners, i.e., turn on everything except Hammers (both kinds), Assist Trophies, and maybe turn off the others that are completely random, like the Clock and the Lightning (sp?)...

Diagnose the problem. Why are you losing? Is there something you could do in Melee that you keep trying to do in Brawl that doesn't work? Being able to go back to Melee doesn't seem likely, so if you can't win, at least try to have fun... it is pretty much a party game after all
