    So this morning, I played the original Battletoads on the NES and not on Rare Replay and I got all the way to level 6: Karnath's Lair. I think I'm real close to beating the game and I hope I can finish it before my vacation is over this week. I would feel very proud of completing the original Battletoads as it's literally considered the hardest game of all time by most critics.

    You think it's bad now, but imagine when the DLC is finished releasing.

    Actually, as someone who only joined this site during Ultimate's lifecycle, I am a little out of the loop, do all the support threads and the newcomer thread just shut down as soon as Nintendo says the DLC is finished or something? Do people have to start "intergame" support threads that aren't for Ultimate, but just for the hypothetical next game for each character, or we don't even have that and there's only just a social thread and competitive metagame discussion? This site did luck out in that the time period between Smash 4 and Ultimate was relatively short due to the Wii U and the Switch's timing in release cycles., I can't imagine a Melee/Brawl timeskip or Brawl/Smash 4 timeskip would do to this site in terms of dead speculation.

    Mushroomguy12 Mushroomguy12 I wasn't a member of Smashboards back during Smash 4 speculation, but I was on the Smash Sub-Reddit back then and would take a peek in here once in awhile at that time. The moderaters closed off the Newcomer Speculation forums when it was announced the Smash Ballot character aka Bayonetta was going to be Smash 4's last DLC character. They closed it off within like a week before or after her announcement probably due to shutting everything down before a giant flame war over Bayonetta' s inclusion started. Same thing will probably happen here in the Newcomer Ultimate forums when Nintendo announces said upcoming character will be Ultimate's last DLC character.

    But I think a lot of support threads here started in the Spring or Summer of 2017 so yeah, speculation for a Smash game starts here before it's even announced.

    The North American subsidiary has been inactive for quite a lot of years and is infamous for many problems with employees.

    The European subsidiaries are still staying, so they will keep porting their games outside Japan. If anything at worst just not to the USA.

    So I was able to exit out of Jellyfish Fields and I played through and finished Bikini Bottom Downtown. I went back to Jellyfish Fields to see if King Jellyfish would respawn and he didn't. The curtain still didn't open up either. Looks like I'm softlock from 100% percenting the game.

    So a couple of days ago, I defeated King Jellyfish in Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated and the game still showed the skip cutscene screen after he was defeated and respawn me on the map. Only the jar of jelly spawn and the water didn't drain and the curtian didn't open up. I left the map King Jellyfish is in and went back and he didn't respawn. Now I'm in a softlock as I don't think I can leave the level and come back as I believe it's design where I go back through the level to get place to place if I'm not mistaken and Jellyfish Fields isn't design in that way so I have to get through this or else I'm softlocked from the rest of the game.

    Can you reset the save file on that game? If not you might be able to get a refund for a faulty game.

    So I was playing Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated for the first time today and I defeated King Jellyfish and nothing happened. I was reloaded into the map and the game still had skip cutscene on the screen. I left the map and went back and it was still having that problem and King Jellyfish didn't respawn. I imagine I was suppose to get a Gold Spatula for defeating him so is this a glitch? I played the Movie Game years ago and you get a Goofy Goober Token for defeating bosses so I feel like this is a major glitch or softlock.

    So if you guys could look at just all the names of the characters in the DLC lineup for Smash right now would you want to see it? I would. I would like to know who we are all getting now whether than wait more than a year. This forever drought has made me lost my patience.

    So my copy of Mario 3D All-Stars still hasn't arrived from Amazon and yesterday I went to Walmart and find a copy there. I cancelled my Amazon order though.

    I played and finished SM64 100% last night in about 3 hours and half. Normally, I could get it done in under 3 hours or 3 hours, but I wasn't completely use to the Switch controls for SM64 yet especially when I was on the first floor.

    Words of wisdom from a Sunshine veteran to all the new players that try to attempt to 100% Sunshine in their first run of the game:

    Don't do it because it's going to take the fun out of the game for you if you try to attempt to do it on your first try. For those who really what to take on this challenge, have fun in hell because trying to collect all 240 blue coins in the game is a nightmare. You need to get them all if you want to obtain all the Shine Sprites in the game as giving 10 blue coins to this beaver guy in Delfino Plaza get's you 1 Shine Sprite. There are 240 blue coins in the game 30 being in each course, 20 in Delfino Plaza, and 10 in Corona Mountain. A good number of those blue coins only spawn in certain missions, so have fun with that.

    Not enough dev time. If Ultimate wasn't set to be a relative early killer app, things might have been different, but as it stands I won't look a horse gift in the mouth.

    Actually, you can get the Hawaiian shirt and the sunglasses before you get all the Shine Sprites. The only thing you really get for getting all the Shine Sprites is a stupid gathering congratulations picture at the end of the game.

    Sorry, I must have missed it. While I did make the smilies, I don’t have access to the Smilies database since it’s admin only. I just gave the folders that contained the smilies to the admins for them to add it in. There are still more smilies that have to be put in (alt costume stock icons for example) but due to the time and effort that is involved, it’s a slow process. As for Goemon, I’ll see what I can do but we don’t even have a Fallout Boy or Cuphead costume in there yet. I’ll see what I can do but I can’t promise anything.

    Hey Venus of the Desert Bloom Venus of the Desert Bloom , can you put a Goemon Mii costume image in the Other category in the emoji section? I know Sans got one in Other because his costume was a big deal, but putting the Goemon Mii costume in Other would make me and other Goemon fans in the Goemon thread happy. We were probably the only fans besides Lip fans that was thrilled about getting a Mii costume.

    Hey Sari Sari ! Did you read the Dark Horse Avatar comics? If you haven't, I highly recommend reading them as the stories feel just as original as the show. Plus, we get to find out about more lore about what happened to the Avatar world after the Last Airbender and before Legend of Korra. The biggest mystery in the show was covered and solved being we find out what happened to Zuko's mom in the comic "The Search".

    If we get a Wario Land port anniversary collection, I hope we get Wario Land 3, Wario World, and Wario Land: Shake It! If it's limited to 3 games like the 3D Mario All Stars collection.

    So do you guys think the Melee hacking scene will ever get to the point where hackers are putting in characters with unique movesets like Brawl's hacking scene? I hope so. It would be cool to see Mach Rider, Ayumi Tachibana, Wario, and Diddy Kong modded into Melee's roster as they were all considered at one point or another during Melee's development.

    I'm actually excited to play Sunshine again in 1080p. I wanted Sunshine in HD for years as I feel like it would be the best classic Mario game to benefit from it with all it's colorful visuals and tropical beach theme going on. I can't wait for my Mario 35th anniversary copy to arrive in within the next two weeks.

    So Sari Sari , I heard Oda said that the last arc is going to make Marineford look like child's play. The only thing I can think of is the Strawhats, allies, and frenenimes coming together to take down the World Government after the One Piece is found and the truth about the Void Century is revealed to the world.
    So it's pretty obvious at this point that Laughtale isn't just a topical island that Roger just left his treasure in, whether it's definitely the ancient kingdom that Professor Clover was about to name drop in Ohara before the Gorosei order CP9 to kill him. While this hasn't been confirmed yet whether Laughtale is the ancient kingdom, there is a lot of evidence backing this theory up that Laughtale is indeed the ancient kingdom. Remember what Whitebeard said to Sengoku before he died about the world being turned up side down and a war that the Marines and World Government fear coming? Yep, Whitebeard knew the truth because Roger told him in his flashback. The final arc is going to be the world vs the World Government and the Strawhats, the Revolutionary Army, and everybody else is going to take down the Celestial Dragons, the Gorosei, and ect to make the world balanced and One Piece no pun intended again. I heard a theory that the World Government artificially made the Red Line and the Calm Belt with one of the Ancient Wepons and that Luffy is going to destroy it to make the sea One Piece again forming the All Blue. Boom! mind blown. How could Luffy do this? Well, there was a prophecy from a certain fortune teller that heavily foreshadowed this.

    Me too.
    I won't say who, but their is a higher authority in the World Government than the Gorosei and I believe they're the final antagonist in the series. Akainu and Blackbeard will probably be dealt with before this guy.

    Hey Sari Sari ! Have you watched Avatar the Last Airbender? I remember when I was talking about the decline of cartoons, you mentioned how you stopped watching cartoons around the late 2000s. Avatar was an amazing show and I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't. It's my favorite Nickelodeon cartoon.

    I've been replaying Melee this week starting a new save file and I've already unlocked all the characters, stages, All Star Mode, and gotten over 150 trophies thus far. I already got all 290 in game trophies in my old save file and I'm never 100% percenting this game again as the Diskun trophy is a nightmare to obtain. For those who don't know, to get the Diskun trophy, you have to get all the bonuses in the game which requires literally doing pretty much everything like doing every combo, messing with every item in every possible way, completing Classic and Adventure with 1 stock without any continues, complete Classic and Adventure without getting damged, completing All Star Mode without using a heart container, ect.

    So I already beat the Heavy Drone B-33 and received the key artifact in the Honey Factory, so now I'm done with chapter 3. Now I'm currently in chapter 4 I have to find the other half of the key artifact. The mayor of Defiant Root is suppose to have knowledge where to go next to find the next artifact.

    So I started playing Bug Fables yesterday and right now I'm already half way through the 2nd chapter. I'm REALLY enjoying this game as it feels like a true sequel to Thousand Year Door even though it isn't. Not to say Super Paper Mario wasn't, but in the sense of keeping the formula from the first two Paper Mario games intact. This feels like the Paper Mario game I've been waiting for years for.

    So I think the intro to Bug Fables about the first Queen Elizant dying and her daughter taking over the throne to continue the search for the Everlasting Sapling is a lie. I think Elizant the II isn't really the daughter of Elizant the I and she is someone who killed Elizant the I and stole the throne and made up a revisionist story about her being her daughter to continue to look for the Everlasting Sapling. Reason I think this is because of Leif's behavior about the Elizant the II after the team left Snakemouth and first went to the palace. Leif was asleep for decades in Snakemouth and seems to not remember that much. Leif knows something that Elizant the II doesn't want the kingdom to know about.
