While not likely (as far as "likely" exists in this discussion) by any means, I think if any Nick Jr. character is to appear in NASB, it should be Robbie Rotten.

He's probably the only live action Nick character, Jr. or main, with no risk of controversy; would go down well thanks to his meme status; and wouldn't create any brand image conflicts on virtue of being a villain in a show that hasn't reran in years.

I should note LazyTown is currently owned by Time Warner so even if Ludosity had the points I'm thinking of in mind and Nickelodeon agreed to let Robbie in I doubt he'd have a shot.

If I were Sakurai, I would not have been able to keep in my ****post urges, I would've cancelled the Sora deal mid-way to get Kermit, Mike Wazowski, or Homer instead, possibly ruining Smash forever in the eyes of many.

Honestly I think Smash is the sort of game that having a story mode and lore is actively detrimental to. All these characters have different genres, tones, target audiences, fanbases, so on - it is impossible to incorporate even a fraction of them into a single cohesive narriative without either stripping them down to archetypes or making a cluttered story.

I would love to see more character interactions within Smash, but a story mode is not how you do it. Win quotes have always been my prefered approach, but most of these characters are silent so that could be for naught.

A lot of the music in Nick Brawl, especially the generic and Turtles tracks, gives me somewhat of a sleek Amiga-ey vibe, not sure if it's right for a game like this but I love that cool but atmospheric feel. Like stepping into an alternate reality as fun as it is dangerous.

I dunno why they saved Sora's Final Smash for post-Direct. I thought it'd be either 1. Disney characters, or 2. push the Switch hardware to its limits, but nope.

Honestly I don't think Infinite's content cap is as unrealistic as people say - Smash is an AAA franchise at this point, getting the budget for something as big as Infinite, while still very hard, would be far from impossible - especially if it were built directly off of Ultimate. It's unrealistic, sure, but not ludicruous I feel.

I think not using Side Bs in Nick Brawl was a smart move - it makes the gameplay that slightest bit less centred around specials and will encourage casual players to learn how to use lights and strongs. The lack of fairs (and to a lesser extent bairs - air-turning erases the need really, but they could lead to strafe button monkeyshines) is a little questionable though

Honestly, I feel Sakurai's comment about unfamiliarity may signify a new Pokémon? Perhaps a Legends Arceus Pokémon getting the Roy treatment?

Otherwise, perhaps a character with a lot of history behind them, but has fallen off the map in recent years whether with fandom or new releases?

Hell, it could be that niche first party retro we've been missing - man if Muddy Mole ended SSBU that'd be absolutely awful for everyone except me.

I don't like Metroidvanias (including -lites) at all, but I love when linear platformers incorporate extremely light Metroidvania elements. Drill Dozer and Wario Land 4 are two of my favourite games of all time and they're as backtracky as you could possibly get without veering into Metroidvania territory.

I've never really cared for Avatar so maybe I'm not the highest authority on this, but I really like the choice for Aang to only use air moves in NASB. I've always enjoyed focused fighters who take one concept and use it to the fullest potential - in this case "staff and air".
