I get that "Hello Kitty is not a cat" actually just means that she doesn't act like a cat, but the fact that people were confused about this statement and made a PR headache out of it back in 2014 and they still doubled down a decade later solidifies in my head that she is actually just a bizarre mutant human.
They are exposing their weaknesses. We can use this information to weaken their trademark protection

It's really funny how some gatekeepy Sonic fans are like "EDGY is what Sonic is SUPPOSED TO BE! This is what REAL SONIC FANS want, not POSERS!", when both SatAM and Adventure were made by people who openly DGAF about the prior games.

what if smash started in the waning years of the wii u where nintendo knew it was a lost cause beyond saving but wanted to convince fans they didn't waste their money so they just released a bunch of games anyway. (it would be very easy to reuse assets)

The funny thing about having grown up on Mr. Enter-type hack fraud YouTube reviewers is that, now with retrospect, the things I remember from these reviews are not the reviews, but rather segments from the source material that were supposed to be funny, and I found funny, but convinced myself were funny "ironically" (which makes no sense.)

Me, someone who grew up with (and still to an extent has) a hyperfixation on 80s/90s kid-culture, watching the "le adult cartoon... is watched by le children?" discourse play out.
I find it funny how, on virtue of featuring so many non-action cartoons, NASB is probably the only fighting game series where neutral-aligned characters outweigh the amount of villainous ones, and might even outweigh the amount of heroes depending on whether you count characters like SpongeBob who on average just kinda do normal stuff, but occasionally take on a heroic role in a 2-parter episode or movie, as heroes.
It's absolutely impossible they were thinking this far ahead, but I really like how - in the modern age where retro games are typically discovered by new players in a format where they only have either a box art or a title to go off of - Donkey Kong '94 can actually work as a bait-and-switch.
It is really a right shame that Nintendo arguably has the best library of weird rando characters and IPs to dig through of any of the brands making IP crossover platform fighters, but plays it so safe and people-pleasy with its platform fighter that Duck Hunt and Piranha Plant are considered "joke picks"

I think the Cheetahmen are pretty epic, but making their catchphrase "Livin' large!" instead of "Cheetahs always prosper!" was a massive missed opportunity.
It's kinda hilarious in a pathetic way how a lot of internet people who try to argue that they're "the NORMAL ones" aren't actually very normal if you step off of the internet for once. From my experience, almost everyone in the real world is pro-trans/enby, pro-ace/aro, pro-furry, pro-goth, pro-polyamory, pro-piracy, pro-dyed hair, pro-Disney adult, e.t.c. - name a minority group, hobby, victimless crime, method of self-expression, fandom, e.t.c.; and the normal layman can probably get behind it. Maybe I'm just lucky, I don't know.
It's really weird how people talk about "brainrot" like it's an... actual quantifiable thing.
