People often tend to get racism mixed up with ignorance. I'm not black so I can't speak from experience, but it should go without saying that misidentifying a hairstyle isn't racist.

One thing people often question about the WarioWare franchise is why and how someone like Wario is friends with a bunch of literal children. I like to imagine that Wario stood up for them when they were being bullied by their peers - albeit using the threat of more bullying, this is Wario we're talking about after all - and that's how they met.
Can't think of an explanation for the blatant copyright and child labour law infringement going on at WarioWare Inc. though.

Super Nintendo World's power-up bands have a rather peculiar inclusion:
Daisy. I want to say that they chose Daisy because they're working on some sort of Daisy-related project, but it's more likely they just wanted a second female character and Daisy was chosen by means of being a character that casual fans would be more familiar with through seniority. (and possibly the fact that Rosalina's emblem isn't as much of an instant identifier as Daisy's)

Creating "alliances" between characters' supporters is equally as stupid as rivalries.
Not everyone who wants Isaac also wants Waluigi, not everyone who wants Waluigi also wants Shadow, not everyone who wants Shadow also wants Tails, so on and so forth. All these "alliances" would serve to do is ostracise and silence fans of one character who oppose the other, harming both characters in the process.
A lot of the famous SNES OSTs lose their magic once you find out they were all just using default Casio instruments.

Watching YouTube Poops with a blocked ear is so surreal - the bass-boosted jokes, instead of being too loud to hear, just sound normal.
One of my favourite tropes is when a comedy cartoon suddenly hits you with an emotional gut punch - usually happens in finales; feature length movies; or Christmas specials.
It's strangely comforting to think that these characters who are pretty much just there to make you laugh can also experience hardship and struggles off-screen. Shows that we're all human with weaknesses, even those of us who can survive having a car dropped on their head.

I still believe quite strongly in target demographic theory.
I feel that the "if it's not fun, why bother?" mentality is demeaning to gaming as an art form.
One thing I hate in character design is the juxtaposition of overly beautiful/sexual female characters and goofy man-baby male characters. I can excuse it with Mario, but that's likely just because I'm used to it.
I don't think Among Us killed Fall Guys, but rather that Among Us saved Fall Guys. Trust me, you do NOT want your game to get overexposed.
3D All-Stars vs. N. Sane Trilogy is less "Virgin vs. Chad" and more "pug vs. gorilla"
I've had a vague memory of a SpongeBob episode where a character says "porn" in passing (and my parents' reaction to it) for a long time, I always assumed it to be a false memory, but nope: the memory has been validated. Kinda. The subtitles say it's "any port in this storm", but I'm not convinced. Also my memory involved Squidward, not Krabs.
