I'm no firearms expert, but I seriously doubt these goofy Star Wars contraptions have any real world parallels.

I really hate the misconception that the Smash games are, on a casual level, iterative in the same way a Fifa or Madden game is. All of them have completely different game feels aside from 3DS and Wii U, and you don't need to be remotely hardcore to actively notice said differences - hell, each game has a completely different feel to their item balancing: in 64, items only add variety and don't give much extra power; in Melee, items are a little more powerful but can be easily lost and often have some kind of downside; in Brawl, a lot of the stronger items are situational and niche; in the 8th gen games, items are ****ing crazy and leave anyone without them completely vulnerable; and in Ultimate, 3DS/Wii U's philosophy is cranked up tenfold

Continuing off of my last post, I've been watching through Eek! the Cat lately, and, from the 3 episodes I've watched through so far, the highs are Eek-stremely high, while the lows are Eek-stremely low. There's a lot more awkward "the 90s were a mistake" moments in episode 3 alone than I had while watching the entirety of Rocko (though I still don't think anything I've seen so far justifies Disney keeping it locked up in the vault with the rest of the non-Marvel Fox Kids shows), but the funny parts are some of the funniest cartoon gags I've ever seen and, like Rocko, there's an underlying sense of empathy to it you wouldn't expect from an edgy slapstick-violence-based show like this. I don't get why the show started off with 22 minute stories though, the format doesn't fit the premise all too well. Not looking forward to the Thunderlizard segments though.

When NASB was still in its "flavor of the week laughing stock" phase, a lot of people were using it as proof that sound design is important in games - which is true, but IMO it doesn't apply to NASB - what it does apply to however, is Nicktoons Unite, which might be the most unintentionally unnerving game I've ever seen, almost entirely because the music is slow and barely audible; the ambient sound effects are oddly realistic, echo like a prison cell, and play at full blast; and all of the stages except the FOP stages have really dreary colour palettes and fog.

I don't think Arzest being behind Superstars is too big a worry for me. They have a spotty track record and it is a little concerning, don't get me wrong, but IMO there's really no such thing as a "bad dev team" - what really matters more is who's doing what and what space they're being given to do it in, not what title they're collectively going by.

I think the hammerspace attacks in NASB are a lot more justifiable than they'd be in other games since most of the characters are pretty explicitly absurdist comedy characters who would be carrying a bunch of stuff like that with them, and those who aren't generally don't have hammerspace related moves with the only real exception being maybe Helga?

Toph's belt attack is still stupid though.
