also, you should learn the way to DJ double laser and hit them so you trade lasers and neither of you has advantage in that situation
you can also use platforms to escape lasers and give yourself a chance to think/go in with your own lasers

You should strive to jump out asap because otherwise you're taking risks of being punished
DI'ing away from Marth is good if he's Fair'ing, and otherwise you want to DI the frontside tipper uptilt swing behind Marth past like 60% and in before that. Everything is fairly situational honestly and requires experience. Just try different stuff because I'd be here all day explaining everything lol.
DI down tech uptilts on Ys platforms.
Marth:
-lasers ****, but he likes to do stuff after your laser comes out. switch between attacking directly after the laser and using movement tricks to hit him afterward
-he sucks in his shield unlike peach so **** that
-when he's above you he's pretty useless usually. don't let him fall at a diagonal to you and watch for side Bs. empty hop some to bait that stuff out if you want
-run up shield disrupts his spacing sometime and can get you a free hit
-wavedashes ****(especially into Marth) I promise
-watch zhu vs m2k from no johns last summer to learn how to edgeguard him. dj regrabbing *****
-if he Fthrows you offstage, DI away
that's probly the main stuff lol
