[im just peachy]

i analyze peach in this game like no one else.

Hey guys ! i've done lots of searching, and gathered a hoard of pictures
for you guys on smash boards !! Peach has been a favorite of mine for a really long time,
so i thought i'd dedicate a thread like this to her, especially since there is very little information about her in this game which is absurd. most of the moves haven't been
confirmed officially, and please remember when Peach was announced, sakurai stated
that her moves were up to change during the development of the game.

makes the enemies that are grounded fall asleep, while a few peaches fall from the sky. peaches still recover health,
there are just less peaches than before. also, the boarder around the screen has changed.

NOTE ! : it's been stated that toad still sprays out spores

Peach Bomber Returns !

or

NOTE ! : it's been stated that peach bomber has been significantly buffed,
the attack speed is incredible and it's a lot more powerful
there is no startup to this move, making it a reliable attack for her.

(taken from the smash direct back in march)

Up Special
Parasol

NOTE ! : it has been stated that not much has been changed from this move,
you still cannot grab a ledge if peach is facing away from it while using the parasol,
yet you will be able to grab it if you're in free-falling while the parasol is closed.

Down Special
Turnip

NOTE ! : it's been stated that peach will pull all her regular turnips,
her famous deadly stitch face was seen doing 29% damage in the training room,
while dotted face did 18%. it was also stated that peach can pull bob-ombs, mr.saturn's again,
and it is rumored that she can also pull ray guns, and bullet bills !!
unfortunately, it has been confirmed that her plucking speed has been nerf'd a significant amount.

it appears her second jump, has been upgraded. unfortunately its not as high as melee,
but it is definitely higher than brawl's version.

she holds her dress out in front of her, yet since she's so undeveloped, her dress is not attached to her hands yet.

This is awesome! I'm so glad you made this. The rainbow attack is really confusing though. Also, I wonder if the ribbon up smash has anything to do with the Rhythmic Ribbon event in Mario and Sonic at the London Olympics.

peach has been known to represent a lot of mario's side games like tennis, golf,
and some classic style games, where she got the turnip, floating ability, and frying pan

yes I noticed !! Thank you for bringing that up, but I wasn't sure how to incorporate her running animation in a picture.. Same with her jumping height. The back air does look weird and I wouldn't be surprised if it is peach bomber ! But the research I've done has said that's back air, but yes I agree with you !

aw wow that's so nice of you to say !! thank you sir ! i don't know what made me join this website so late
just didn't find a need i guess, but i've always loved peach so i thought i should return the favor since she's such a great character
that's so flattering thanks again ! and yes i think she's headed in a really nice direction full of emotion and even more character than before !
although in brawl she had to be the one with the most personality and that's why i loved her in there .

i like the up smash too, but i need to see what that ribbon is used for, what if its just for show ?
what if like you say, it now has more horizontal range , but the actual damage that's done by the ribbon is absolutely nothing

there has been no footage of her down-smash unfortunately, hopefully it got better than brawl's version … looking forward to it ! thanks again

Ribbon may just be for show, you're right. I think it'd be a little confusing, hit box wise, if that was the case though - a little horizontal range on her U-Smash would be nice! We'll have to see.

In a PotD, Sakurai said that every character's standing/attacking/etc. animations are now mirrored when they turn around, rather than taunts staying the same regardless of direction, or more of their backs showing when standing. At least I'm pretty sure it included taunts, iirc.

all i see is that she's still not holding her dress when she's dancing, which means she's not holding her dress when she's running, or doing some attacks like her up tilt heart. this is incredible considering the fact that the game comes out soon in japan, can't believe this. for me at least, peach holding her dress during these actions is very necessary. she can't just hold her arms out like she's grabbing on to something.

They might not have dress physics in the 3ds version, Zelda's dress was attached to her legs on the 3ds demo. But, it will be different on the Wii U!

Zelda's dress isn't supposed to be as floaty as Peaches, if you look at her official artwork, the fabric is thick and shiny, and her dress has always been heavier than peaches.
