Welp, being honest, I actually vote for the four characters (Agnes, Tiz, Ringabel and Edea), and explained in the comment section of the ballot that they could recieve the same treatment that bowser jr. and the koopalings had where they would be alternate costumes sharing one same character, this would be perfect since they are all similar in appearance and they basically share all the moves in the game, even though some of the jobs are more iconic to a certain character, I don't mind seeing Agnes doing a minus strike or Tiz using curaga, so I feel this would work perfectly. And since there is a vast amount of attacks they can have thanks to the 26 jobs in the game, I don't think it would be hard to make a whole moveset without the need to make up moves for them.

They're both main characters although Agnes is probably a little more important to the overall plot. You start out as Tiz but once you find Agnes you can play as whoever you want for the entire game. I stuck with Tiz for almost all of it. I think Agnes would be the most likely character from Bravely Default to get into smash. She also seems to be the face of the series or at least Square wants her to be. Based on the nature of the game, there can easily be alts for all four characters since they all can learn the same jobs.

I don't want to irritate the people in this thread, but I'd say Agnes is more likely to be a character in Smash 5. By then there will likely be at least three Bravely Default games out and the series will likely be even more popular. Bravely Default is my favorite 3ds game. I just think its overshadowed in polls by characters like K Rool.

The sad thing is that she's probably not happening, unless Sakurai takes Edea's larger fanbase into account. ;-;

Things like the job system and the atmosphere remind of the old RPGs and the battles utilizing "Brave" and "Bravely Second" give a reason to use one's head. It is welcome that there is an Auto Battle feature which allows commands to be registered and a My Set feature allows saving job and ability combinations, so troublesome sections are reduced as much as possible. It's nice that you can just concentrate on taking advantage of the characteristic system of this game.

Although the system is roughly the same as in the previous game and it doesn't feel fresh, the level of perfection is high so fans and new player alike should welcome it with open arms. I feel "Bravely Second" is a useful function to have, but the game would be fine without it. Auto Battle and changing the enemy encounter rate matches well the way of playing on a mobile device. Although the feel of the music has changed, I'm happy that previous masterpieces like Baby Bird are effectively mixed in.

Similar to the previous game, you can adventure on a three dimensional field while listening to background music filled with ambition. You can enjoy the storyline while troubling your brain with character customization which gives more freedom bit by bit. Relationships between old and new characters are perfect so all conversation events are worth noticing. All kinds of extra elements which you can experience through communication functions are fun and you can probably use the game as a full communication tool, too.

Looking forward to Second. A summer release would be best since college and lengthy JRPGs do not mix well.

I stand by my position earlier that by the time the next Smash comes out Bravely Default will be a well known and successful modern Nintendo franchise., which means Agnes with 7 alts for different BD characters (probably just 4) will get into smash.. 5?

I guess it also depends on how long the DLC development and planning stages for Smash 4 last.

Edit: Okay: @ BluePikmin11 they are all pretty much the same move set just with different effects added and different stats. Think of it more like monado arts but to a more extreme extent.

I'm planning on making a video explaining why she should be in and potential move sets. I'll probably change it just to "Bravely Rep" or "4 Heroes of Light", but what do you guys think? Once we decide we need to do an aesthetic overhaul. When we do, would mind making new promotional material, BluePikmin?

Anyways, in the video I plan to talk all about the general history of FF and Bravely as well as how relevant and important it is, then possible move sets (currently I plan to talk about my class change idea as well as the 'take moves from all classes and hodgepodge them together' idea), and then finally gush over how incredible the music will be. Anything else I should cover?

And yeah she's probably more likely for smash 5, but drumming up support now is how we'll get her in in the future.

We can make it happen, we don't have to wait 7 more years for another Smash so that BD is a big franchise, we need our voices heard now. I rather see the Brave Default mechanic implemented in Smash now than later.

Yo, Sakurai plans to make as much DLC as possible, I believe. He's doing it for the fans. For us. It's about 6-7 years until the next Smash game I bet, we have plenty of time to get as much support as possible to get a Bravely character in, especially since:

1. Obviously Bravely Default was very successful.
2. Bravely Second just released today and has gotten very good reviews from Famitsu. In general, I believe the only reason why it got a bit lower score than Bravely Default was cuz it's more of the same, but why fix what ain't broken?
3. Ideas for Bravely Third are already running around the developers' heads, and they wanna release a Bravely game every year. If Smash 4 lasts for around 6 more years like we expect it to, that's quite a few Bravely games, and it will definitely be an established series here in America.

I'm not really sure what to feel about this though, cuz I made a support thread for Edea, and there's this thread I wouldn't mind if another Bravely character made it in, but...
Oh yeah, haven't updated the Edea support thread for awhile, been busy, but will do once finals are over.

I would stick with Agnès as the default character and have the alt. costumes be Tiz, Edea, Ringabell, and maybe Yu and Magnolia from Bravely Second (then you could have Tiz and Edea's costumes from Bravely Second be alts as well).
Agnès just makes more sense to me for being the face of the group because the plot revolves the most around her.

Originally known as the Sinking Nation, this grand airship will serve as the venue for the match.

Fighters will fight on the deck with the Drunken Pig Tavern to their right and the open sea/air to their left.

The ship will switch between floating in the sea or flying in the air every 50 seconds. While in the sea, there will be water on the left side of the screen that the fighters can swim in for a few seconds. While in the air, fighters will be pushed to the left, towards the open sky.

Randomly, an NPC will show up in the background and effect the battle in some way:
The Drunken Pig's Proprietress: She will throw out food in front of the tavern for the starving fighters.
Praline a la Mode: The diva of the Eterian Black Blades will begin to sing "Love in the Crossfire" in the middle of the stage, boosting the fighter's attack power.
Alternis Dim: The Dark Knight will shoot 3-5 of Black Bane on the left side of the stage.

Datz and Zatz: The two Shieldbearers will throw 4-8 weapons onto the stage that the fighters can use as projectiles.

Adventurer: He and his companion will watch the fighters, not getting involved.
