I've beaten all of SSE on 100%, beaten almost everything else once, gotten all of the characters and stages, so all there is to do is get trophies and maybe a couple CDs, along with stickers. I can't be any more bored. The Wifi is kind of crappy, and even though I tried doing whatever I was supposed to do but the lag hasn't changed at all and I can't find any matches unless they're with friends.

I think the unlockable characters being available on SSE kind of killed the game for me. In Melee (no I wasn't wanting a Melee 2.0) you unlocked them slowly and not pretty much all at once. You had to beat classic with everyone to get G&W in the last game, now u just get to a certain part in the story mode.... anyone else think this?

I'm not tired of the game yet because I love playing my friends. But...

I've beaten SSE twice. I was hoping that next time my data was reset I could try unlocking all the characters through the third, non versus/SSE options for fun (because SSE just isn't fun anymore). But instead of allowing me to do that Sakurai was a jerk and with Wolf, Toon Link, and Jigglypuff made it so that you *can't* get them outside of versus matches or SSE. It's so bloody annoying.

I don't know whether I'll do versus matches or run SSE yet another time. It just gets bloody old.

So I agree with your that the unlockable characters setup sucks.

But the game itself doesn't bore me.

honestly, smash isn't about single player, personally all those threads about how brawl sucks, are wrong. brawl does such, but not because it sucks, but because they wasted so much potential making SSE, they could have hired more programmers, instead of setting up a storyboard, and making sse, and we could have had more chars, or better thought out mechanics, or a well flushed out online mode, but for whatever reason sakurai just decided he'd completely ignore what all the old smash games were about, and make this one story focused, which i think is a detriment to the game, when old chars like the Doc don't make it back into a game, when they clearly would have been easy as **** to implement, hell all the doc and pichu needed was skins, and a day or two with a programmer to adjust their hit boxes.

I don't own brawl, i had it the first week it came out, played about 55 hours in 6 days, beat the absolute **** out of it, been playing it several times a week since i returned the wii to my buddy and we all played melee heavilly, and we all agree, that the magic or something, is just missing this time around. but i still do enjoy it, and i'll be hosting a local tourney for them, so hopefully the truly competitive aspect will help us breathe new life into an already faltering title.

Single player is boring. Bring/make some friends and play with them.

If they're not as good as you are, turn on Smash Balls and make it fun.

Odd... I always thought people WANTED to unlock everyone as soon as possible. That way they could try everyone out, and especially didn't want bizarre requirements like SSB64 Ness's "Beat 1-P mode with 3 lives and no continues on normal mode or higher."

That's what made it fun. And gettin C Falcon by beating the game under 20 mins. All that stuff was fun and creative now you just get them through sub space which was uber gay. And yes it is gettin boring.

Nope. I'm nowhere near bored. Just played FFA's with one of my friends tonight, as a matter of fact (2 CPU's). Sure, he played Ike like a pansy and just spammed F-Smash, but it was still fun for me to find ways to get around it or to bait him into attacking and such. So, no, I'm not bored in the slightest.

This is like saying unreal tournament's campaign mode got boring after completing it twice, once on easy and once on hard. It's the story mode of a multi-player based game.

Yes, brawl IS boring. Hopefully people saying it isn't will find that (about a month from now) it is. The multiplayer has been hugely dumbed down to help noobs and it's annoying. Of course this all doesn't stop me from KILLING my friends at it, but it's not as fun as it used to be. Melee had such jacked up physics it made it a blast to play. Brawl IS perfect, physics-wise. But tripping is ******** and shields are just too good now. It's all very ridiculous.

Still a great game, but could have been MUCH better. Oh, and SSE is NOT worth playing for the cut scenes. To me the cut scenes don't even look that much better than the in game graphics, but maybe I've just played too many BETTER looking PS3 games.

I'm actually starting to get a little bored with the multiplayer and getting more interested in the stadium stuff.

Yeah it's kind of a jump-around thing.... thank goodness there's so many options in brawl or it would be a snoozefest. <.< o_0

Nope, not bored at all. I still play wifi with friends when they're not around and I play normal multiplayer when they are. Trying to beat Boss Battles on Hard as everyone, not too terribly difficult, just time consuming.

And as for the SSE getting old...I've gone through it thrice; Normal, Hard and Very Hard. Going for Intense next.
Although I will admit that Classic mode and All-Star mode are boring as hell...what happened there? Those used to be fun...

If I can get good games online then I don't get bored. As for one player the challenges offer some fun. SSE wasn't even that fun the firs time, in fact IMO SSE kinda sucked. The best part of it were the story scenes.

As a response to the spoilers.... Everyone has the SAME target tests now, and for some reason there is NO Race to the Finish! WTH?!

Ya know...I think you're right...doing TWO target tests a play through and having several team/giant matches just makes it dull and redundant...I got so sick of fighting the DK and Diddy team time after time that when I had to fight Giant Yoshi I actually was HAPPY about it...
and I never noticed how much lack of Race to the Finish affected the classic mode...why'd they go and cut that o_O...?

The new players to Brawl would find it too challenging. So they scrapped it. XD

Both of the above posts are so true. I don't understand why Classic sucks so much.... Maybe it's just the overall gameplay. It just feels wonky. But there is DEFINITELY too many "fights" you have to do in Classic mode. It's ridiculous.

I am not bored of the game...invite over a few friends, enter in a smash tourney online. just have some FUN!
I see "invite friends" alot in this thread, but thats the thing. None of my friends would want to play SSBB over Halo 3 and COD4.... I already tried once, and the only person that would play stopped because I was beating him too fast :/ Also I can't get over the wifi lag at all, and it makes me hate the wifi in Brawl -_-

I agree about Classic mode. I mean, it's not really that boring to me, but no doubt would it have been much better if they included the four non-fights that we saw in previous games: board the platforms, break the targets, race to the finish, and collect-the-three-trophies.
