Remember flame cancelling from melee version 1.0 for bowser?

well the exact same thing works for young links arrows

(EDIT: Works even better with link. Almost instant)

for you who dont remember the flame cancel, if you use your b attack just before you hit the ground, the move will skip to the animation where your projectile comes out (fire, arrows).

no lag! yayness!

sorry if already mentioned.

To a few of the above question. The SHDA and this are extremely related. SHDA would not be possible without this.

It works just by shooting an arrow before landing. It removed a significant portion of the landing lag. In short, SHDA is a very good approach, edge guard, and camping strategy that is very hard to punish.

Does this work with Pit too? Because this seems to be a trend among projectile user. Needle canceling and SHL cancel the ending lag of those projectiles, while missle canceling and arrow canceling cancel all of the lag. Did Pit get left out or can he get some kind of lag cancel on his arrows too?

This is the principle behind SHDA.

Also if you are underneath a platform you can full jump shoot an arrow, then fire a second arrow immediately before hitting the platform. It is the same speed as a SHDA but the second arrow flies directly behind the first.

Oh ho ho.

I've experimented with this a little. If you launch your boomerang while airborne as well, you can really screw people up.

Think: Boomerang to arrow cancel land into dash grab. If you time it right, it combos together really nicely.

Also, if you pull out a bomb, you can combo from up-throw into bomb, and combo that into his Uair.
