Ice climber tips? ._.
I've never had a problem with ice climbers (that another character wouldn't have i.e. grabs). I usually try to stay the hell away from them and pepper them with projectile spam and nairs (if they get to close) spacing fairs/nairs to jabs is always a good idea. Up-tilts (as far as I can tell) just **** them silly. If you can get them both, good, if you can't, who cares. Icies are 2 targets for you to uptilt not just one. That's all I got.

I've been running away and throwing **** and trying to keep them seperated. Kind of works. Nairing usually gets me Dsmashed and such.

Yeah, IC's you just want to spam. They're really bad at dealing with projectiles, so you want to run away until you land a bomb/rang and then punish the IC that got hit. On platform stages you want to get the ICs into the air, so run from platform to platform while throwing things at them and once you get the hit you should be able to either kill nana or damage popo. Gimping nana is really easy, she always gets hit by the spin spike/nair/everything. Remember, Nana can't tech.

On FD you pretty much just run and camp, on platform stages you stay on platforms and camp and on RC you camp and win.

Try using Fair.

Spam and Fair are gay against IC.

Your ultimate goal is to get them above you after tacking some percent on them. They can't come down from your Uair or U-tilt to save their life and their aerial mobility is terrible.

After full jump Nair do another Nair so there's nice shield stun or jump away vs IC. Remember to L-cancel. If they still come after you or try to waveshield at you then jump away and you will be fine.

If you get grabbed you die automatically.

Mostly they're just going to waveshield camp as much as possible, and waltz in periodically looking for something gay. So just use your better range and spam to keep them out so you aren't horribly wrecked by grabs, gimpy d-smashes, etc.

Guess you can never judge a book by it's cover.

I should really coin that phrase and call it Sklering 3.
That phrase has already been coined to the point that is simply nothing more than a cliche. So using my flawless logic Sklering is nothing more than being a redundant nuisance.

No, the second hit of the fair is really terrible. I guess if it comes out near the ground you can grab out of it, but it's so weak and predictable (it takes about 30-40 frames to hit) that any character can punish if they see it coming.

Who would see that comming? I forgot it existed till I hit someone with it. I don't even plan on using the brain worms to figure out how to implement it, I guess I was just asking if it is worse than arrows.

Arrows are used intentionally sometimes, so I'd say it's worse than arrows. The second part of the fair only comes out if you mess up or are desperate (using the fair high up means you're desperately reaching for that hit), I use arrows to edgeguard people.

How many roads must a man travel down before you may call him a man?
It's 3, 4 if you count the temple of time though. Unless you mean literal roads, then it depends on how well you know OOT cause you could probably wander a lot of roads if you don't know it very well.

Yo Skler I got a few Q's for ya. I got a tourney coming up next week and the competition is stiff.

1.) How do I kill the momentum of a good falcon(like Jiano good, and im not making that up lol)?

2.) How to deal with a Samus that has a really good crouch-cancel game , and crazy missle spaming?

3.) And just any cool tricks you know vs fox?

You info is appreciated.

1. Jab if they're SHing a lot, the jab goes through almost everything. Reverse utilts do the trick too, it forces them to be a bit more cautious. Whenever you can pull a bomb you should, bombs force them not to approach.

2. Hang back and throw things until Samus approaches. You can outspam samus even if they do the missile trick on PS and YS, just be patient and use the boomerang a lot. If they CC all your moves approach with the fair and space it, it pushes them out of range.

3. Every once in a while I like to stand still and start jabbing over and over again if the Fox uses a lot of SH approaches. The jab hits through the nair and it'll force them to either try a full jump approach (usually risky for Fox) or they'll laser camp. No real tricks though, the jab thing can just get in their heads sometimes.

Skler I saw their videos and noticed that you do not abuse of projects different of Aniki.
Do you think the style of Aniki of projects better than Link who prefer to go more to attack?

im swtiching up my Link, like the other way around. My link is too fast but i make a lot of mistakes which basically ****s up my games.

alright Skler, i need supreme help.

1. what do i do when im getting waveshined ?

2. shield pressure with fox's shine ? like he would waveshine my shield, like he goes from the front of my
shield then to the back then come to the front again and he just mixes it up.

3. how do you deal with fast foxs, falcons, falco and sheiks ?

4. assuming that you think(which i know you do) when you play Link, do you have tricks to get them in a grab ? for example making mistakes then when you see him going in for a punish you switch out and get him in a grab.

5. what move should i use to punish my opponents reactions? for example, i throw him near the edge and then i wait for him to spot dodge or roll then move in with an attack.

6. against fox's that uses reflectors to counter projectiles, should i throw the bomb or rang first ?

7. what do I do against sweet spotting firefox and illusions ? nair of the edge, dtilt, ftilt, nair ledge hop, throwing bombs down is what i do but something they fail.

8. grab or dsmash when I cc my opponent at low percent (against fox, falco, falcon and such) ?

9. in stage(Ftilts/Dtilts/Dsmashes/Scrah) or off stage(nair/bair/ nair ledge hop) edgeguard ? also do you think drop from ledge grab to DJ Bair or nair be effective when edge guarding? something like the bair edge guard of sheik, marth and fox.

10. slow link vs. fast link ?

thanks for helping me in advance, sorry if its a lot but i have to ask. some players might have these questions but they dont bother asking.

thanks.

Aniki played in an entirely different way, and most of his opponents played different ways too (after all, Japanese and American smashers have different styles and rule sets).

He also played about 4-5 years ago. People didn't move as quickly or understand the game as well as they do now. Pressure is applied very quickly and constantly now, there is almost no time to spam against any character that wants to keep up pressure.

Point: Aniki's style reflects an older play style, I don't think a Link would be able to spam as much as he did at a modern (American, I don't know about other scenes) tournament.
