Brawl Character Resizing

In Smash, many characters are over/undersized. That's just a fact. I can see why some character's sizes had to be redone (namely Olimar), but others... not so much.

What do you think of how the characters in Brawl were resized?

I have no clue on Bowser, as his real size is unknown as it is never consistent in the games.

Ganondorf could be a bit bigger, as he seems large rin Twilight Princess.

Kirby is supposedly 8 inches tall, but in Smash seems considerably taller. Hmm...

Sonic is taller than Mario?! Who knew?

DK could be a touch larger.

Stuff like that...

No, resizing them to canon size would be a terrible idea.

There's a large inconsistency in the canon sizes that fitting them all in one game with their real sizes would make some characters much smaller than they are right now. Samus is like... 6'03'' while Kirby is 0'08''. I don't think it would be fun to turn a fight into a scavenger hunt.

Resizing is the only thing that gives Ridley a shot at being in SSB4. Dedede, Meta Knight, Kirby, and Olimar are all supposed to be minuscule. By contrast, Ridley is a hugeass mofo. Resizing solves everything.

Proper resizing to fit the Smash Bros formula is essential, and I like the current sizes.

With one exception: Toon Link.

He's a tad too big for my tastes. He goes up to Link's shoulders, yet he's supposed to be like... 12. Even given the artstyle, I still think he's too big in Brawl. But it's not really that bad.

Ridley would suck resized. That's one reason he was probably never in.

Toon Link seems fine to me. In the games he seems as if he could match the size of Twilight Princess Link easily (At least up to his shoulders like you said). You never know. I've never opened up WindWaker + TP at the same time ..

Charizard is ACTUALLY pretty small.

Compare it to the 10 year old trainers in the game.

I don't know, it'd just look a little strange.

I think Charizards size is perfectly fine in the game myself. He isn't too big or too small.. Bowser is bigger than him, in fact.

Charizard's height in the pokedex says that he is 5' 2". :o He's over sized in the TV show, and if anything, he's too big in Smash Bros.

Bowser is definitely too small. In Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 64 he was a lot bigger (in Super Mario Sunshine he was huuuuge, but who takes his appearence in that game seriously? xD).

Anyone here thinks Pikachu is waaay too big in Brawl?

He isn't that big. I think he's actually supposed to be less than 180 cm.

^ Agreed, in the results screen after a match is done Squirtle is either as big or bigger then the trainer himself. -.-

All the other characters are reasonable though, I mean Olimar wasn't gonna be be the size of Marios shoe.

I think that the next games should have a bonus game mode where all the characters are canon sized. XD Just for fun, considering certain characters would be BEYOND broken (not to mention nearly impossible to use).
