There are so many variations of sliding in this game its really getting old, it won't be long before they find wavedashing in the form of sliding lol (somewhat serious)

Can all characters do the Usmash slide?

Are you sure I read on one of the boards that everyone could. Im going to have to check it out.
If you're talking about a sliding upsmash in the sense that every character can upsmash out of their runs, the answer is yes.
If you're asking about interrupting the start of a dash-attack with an up-smash, the answer is no.
If you're asking about interrupting the start of a dash-attack with an up-smash, the answer is no.

Maybe there should be a list compilation of which characters can do the sliding upsmash, btw I think the term is boost smashing.
I'll see if I can't put together a list, but I hold no guarantees. I have to first pull the manuever off. All I can do right now is hit the person and then follow up with the up-smash (whatever that's called if there's a term for it. Basically a lesser boost smash due to the limitation of striking the opponent first).
