A couple of friends and I were doing a four player free for all on Castlevania, all pokemon ( Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard and Jigglypuff ). Charizard and Squirtle fell off the left side, and saved each other by repeatedly using both character's Up-B to damage each other out of special fall and managed to get back onto the stage.

After recovering, Charizard's mechanics were completely broken. Notable examples were characters automatically breaking out of Seismic Toss at the apex of the throw, a broken version of Rock Smash came back, as well as a few other strange, mixed, broken mechanics.

Charizard stayed this way for the remainder of the match, even through multiple stocks, but returned to normal after the match was over.

No mods were loaded apart from Project M itself, which was loaded via Homebrew.

Locked in a safe floating in the Atlantic Ocean.
Odd, but this shouldn't happen from a flaw in the game's coding.

Your SD card might be locked (check the little white switch on the side of the card), fragmented (use the defragment tool in windows or simply format the card), or physically damaged (make sure the metal on the ends does not look worn, darkened, or scratched).

I ran into this issue yesterday. I've tried to repro, with no luck.

Project M 2.5 (not 2.5b), Hackless Wii, no mods.

This happened during a 2v2 team match on Dreamland. Similar to bitdagger, my friends and I had most of the Pokemon in the fight - Squirtle Ivysaur and Charizard. I don't believe the 4th character was a Pokemon, but I'm not sure. Unlike bitdagger, I don't think that this moveset change happened mid-fight. I noticed it pretty early on.

Charizard's new moveset seemed to have the animations from Project M, but the hitboxes and characteristics of his Brawl incarnation. We tested all his moves, and these are the differences we noticed:

Tap: He attacks three times with his wing, reusing the Project M tap animation each time. Note that Brawl Charizard's tap was three linked attacks.
D-Tilt: He attacks with his tail, but there is no hitbox attached. Brawl Charizard attacks with his mouth, so perhaps the hitbox is there even though he is not attacking with it. Did not think to test this until after the match.
Down-B: Nothing.
Side-B: Charizard looks like he's breathing fire, but rock chunks come out. That can't be fun.
F-Air: Charizard slashes with his claw, but a stream of fire comes out. Looked pretty badass actually.
U-Throw: Seismic Toss, with the notable exception that the opponent is released at the apex of the toss. I believe that no damage is dealt.

My SD card is a new 2GB SD card that I purchased for Project M. It is not locked, and it looks to be in excellent condition still. I would be very surprised if this were the culprit.

I spent ~20 minutes trying to repro this, to no avail. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help out!
