Cog, have you ever seen The Royal Tenenbaums? Probably one of my top 5 or at least top 10 movies. Also, Benny and Joon and Bottlerockets were great. Christmas Vacation and Elf were awesome. Elf was somewhat geared toward children, but it was also good for adults (imho); it had some hilarious stuff (Will Ferrell getting hit by the taxi was my favorite part).

Budai I love Tenenbaums! Favorite Wes Anderson flicks, in order:
Rushmore
Bottlerocket
Darjeeling
Tenenbaums

life aquatic (didn't like this one at all)

My favorite part of Elf is when he sprays the perfume in his mouth and goes naahhhh naaahhh

Yeah I saw The Life Aquatic in theaters cause I was like "oo new Wes Anderson, good cast, etc.". I was disappointed, but it was still decent. I haven't seen The Darjeeling Limited yet and I keep telling myself I need to watch it, but I also keep forgetting.

"You really like sugar, huh?"
"Is there sugar in syrup?"
"Yeah."
"Then YES!"

lol some movies are best seen in the theater. Actually, most movies are. No Country for Old Men was an amazing theater experience, waaaaaaay more so than if I saw it on dvd. And since it's Iron Man, it practically begs you to see it in theaters.

LOL I can agree with that. The 4th time I saw Saving Private Ryan was in a dark college dorm with three of my friends who hadn't seen it yet. They were dead ****ing silent during the intense ending.

wow mildly offensive.

I really can't understand people that watch movies like IM or like you said saving private ryan on a computer or TV first... wtf, maybe there's no good theaters near you? sitting infront of a 30 foot screen and having your eardrums blown out with 100 other geeks around you is magical.

not really. just whenever i say i'm a jew(good with my money) people ask if i'm jewish, so i just pointed it out beforehand this time. if anything i'd think that's a compliment, i've never owed anyone money ever, i've had a perfect(yes, PERFECT) credit score for about 2 years now(since i got my first card), and i find ways to make money off of EVERYTHING. i was a loanshark in middle/highschool, made tons of cash (hence ALLHIGHLOANSHARK as an aim sn).

i don't see where it could be offensive o.o;, last i checked, being able to handle your money and keep it over 5 mins is a GOOD thing. ;D, if anything, it's a compliment :)

anyway, off to work. one more for you before i go thumbs:

take it easy guys ;D

How far into it did you get? The first disc is soooooooooooo slow. Once you get to late in the 2nd disc it really gets good.

Wes-I also played VIII before VII so i guess that had an impact for me as well. I thought Cait Sith, Cid, Tifa, and Yuiffie were easily the worst set of characters in Final Fantasy...without a doubt.

I seriously thought the story to seven was pure crap. All its about is Sephiorth taking over with his dead cell mother Jenova and Sephiroth being the devil (original) and Cloud wanting to idolize Sephiroth while he was with him in Soldier. The game is actually a representation of Christianity....

I do not HATE THE GAME I just hate how band wagoners just say they like it to like it. Everyone cherishes Sephiroth and his mayume (thats spelled wrong) and everyone thinks hes the GREATEST BAD GUY EVER!!! which is beyond false. I like the music to seven, but eight I seriously think ***** it there to. The opening song, seeD music, Edeas theme, Castle music, Balamb Garden, etc. Its more of a mellow soundtrack. Most people just like the FF7 music better because of Cosmo Canyon, One Winged Angel, Aeris's theme, and In Search Of The Man In Black. Some tracks are good...but FF 8 has a better soundtrack with such songs as The Stage Is Set, SeeD, Martial Law, The Mission, Blue Fields, The Man With The Machine Gun, Junction, Force Your Way, and Fishermans Horizon.

I own both soundtracks and games and love them both and I can see why people like Final Fantasy VII better I guess. Its just funny to see some front runner fans out there who just say it...to say it.

Yesssss! I can't wait for this movie omg.....

Oh, and FF4 is my favorite. :}
This is easily my 2nd or 3rd favorite final fantasy...it is soooooo underated. The story is perfect and yet...basic, the characters all kickass, its fun, and the summons are MADDD cool.

DD is coming over my house today (most likely..) someone else/some more people should join him! coughWEScoughcoughMarkSTYLEcoughcoughcoughanyone****ingelse.cough

You're still basically reinforcing an unfair and untrue stereotype. I wouldn't have such a problem with it if the jewish people didn't have the history that they do have. That same "good with money" stereotype was twisted into "obsessed with money" and that was twisted into "they're destroying our culture and economy". BTW This happened in Germany in the late 30's.
Point is, it's in a whole different category than "black people are good at basketball"

hmm I should do one of those list things.

It had one of the most nonsensical endings I've ever seen. I saw it four years ago so I'm working off memory here, but someone explain to me WHY this movie is good because I honestly thought it was extremely terrible.
