CSP Collection (Updated Frequently)

Hey all, this thread was made so there could be a frequently updated OP of all current CSP's. The old one hadn't been updated in some time so I figured I'd make a new one with all the new CSP's.

I'll try to take requests so PM me if you have a costume you'd like to see made into a CSP. Not sure if these guys still take requests, its from the old thread:

• Goxplex - CSP Custom Poses (ingame), CSP Vanilla Poses,
• Doqtor Kirby - CSP Custom Poses (ingame, limited out-of-game),
• DRGN - I dunno. Moral support and advice? He's the guy you want when you need help.

In case you didn't know, you can use DTW to easily import these .png files into your ISO (guide below).

Spoiler: Import Guide

1. Download DTW (download link above).
2. Open your ISO in DTW (via drag-n-drop or the File menu)*
3. Click on the Disc Shortcuts | 'Menus' link
4. Select the MnSlChr.usd file, and click on Browse Textures
5. Find and select the texture you want to replace
6. Drag-n-drop the new texture onto the GUI
   - OR - Right-click -> Import, and navigate to your new texture
7. File -> Save (or press CTRL-s)

*You can instead open a standalone MnSlChr file you may have (one not in a disc), and then import that file into your ISO.

There is also another, faster way to import multiple textures. If the texture follows DTW's standard naming convention, e.g. "MnMaAll.usd_0x1c1e00_0.png" (in other words, [sourceFile]_[offset]_[texture type].png), then you can import using the Disc Import method. This works by opening your disc as usual, and then, while on the Disc File Tree tab, importing (or drag-n-dropping) all of the textures at once.

* TPL's no longer required. PNG's are fine to post.

Graphics > Advanced

That's to load them, you need to rename them accordingly. To find the correct name, enable Dump Textures on the same window, make the game load the texture (select that character color on the CSS) navigate to the Dump folder in your Dolphin Emulator folder and copy and paste the name of that file. The HD textures go in Dolphin Emulator/User/Load/Textures/GALE01

To anyone doing a lot of CSP work, I have some scripts I made a while back for automating parts of the process: DRGN's CSP scripts

Basically they should be useful for removing black backgrounds from around characters, and creating the CSP shadow. There are some extra bits that are now obsolete (since hacking CSPs no longer requires "replacement colors", or even palettes), but you can just ignore those bits. Palette generation might be slightly better in DTW (for an image DTW receives that doesn't have a palette, if one is required, it will generate one for you when you import it); feel free to test. More instructions on what the scripts do and how to use them can be found here.

Did you know you can already make everything change to black (or white) in Debug Mode? Just hold X and press D-pad Down three times.

It's in my thread where I'll keep updating new CSPs and CSS stuff as I make them (which I'll also post here) .

In order to use them:
Use the DAT Texture Wizard to either import the .usd files. (the link can be found on the boards pretty easily) or each image you want manually. That way you can manually fade characters out etc if you want. Otherwise just use the .usd that says "full".

To install the CSP character select portraits, just import them individually. I find that's best until I've completed the entire collection and then I'll package it all together as one .usd file.

This one is kinda particular. Instructions are included in the zip. For costumes I think are pretty sick that weren't included I'm willing to pump a few out, but only if provided a CSS usd with 4 good skins split between the default colors (not lat or rat) characters so I can do it easily in one go.

EDIT ( 12JAN16 ) :

I decided to make Ganon stuff today. I made two different ones since some people may like one or dislike the other. For the "Powerful Magics" I photoshopped the energy stuff so if you want to make additional skins, message me for the .psd (photoshop) files or tell me what sweet Ganon skin is missing and I may add it.

Why don't the HD textures on the homepage work? I have everything set up correctly, i even have some of my own textures loading into the game, but when I open the game none of the CSP's load in.

UnclePunch The Classic Mode left side DL is missing Pikachu and Luigi, and includes Sheik but not Zelda (a bit less important to most people, but still). The og thread for the classic mode packs lists the left side as 1.1 and has all the poses on imgur, but the modulous download is still 1.0. Thought I'd let you know in case you could update the mod listing.

That being said, both the left and right side CSPs are awesome. Been considering following yours and Achilles' steps to make some of my own for custom skins. Can't say I'm looking forward to the tedium of the right side though

I did a simple color replacement in Photoshop with masks and such.
For things like link's mirror shield and mario's laker hat emblem, I just imported an ingame screenshot or raw texture file from DAT and transformed said image onto the CSP.

I probably can't make good looking CSPs if textures are stretched/distorted too much. Fierce Deity Link has lots
of new textures so the best way to make the CSP would be to either redraw it by hand.
Or use some sort of 3D tool that can transform the new textures to match the CSP Pose.
I'm not really an artist and the latter I've yet to figure out.

Also, any color changes from white or black to color are not going to turn out well until I
figure out a better solution (Ness's hair for example is almost pure black so changing it to green
will make Ness's hair solid green.) As long as there's some gradient to the texture, it should work.

Edit: I didn't make the fusion suit CSP, I noticed it wasn't on ssbmtextures or modulous backup so I thought I'd add it here.

I tried to use another pose code for Samus on my 20XX build. But the camera just glitches out or doesn't move. I also tried to use this Sheik/Zelda code but it just locks the camera facing upwards.

In my experience for some reason, old pose codes just don't last long or work anymore.

I've never tried and dunno if it works but making your own pose code looks pretty simple if you follow this guide.
It does require some knowledge of how Hex data works.
Scroll down to the bottom of OP's post and look for "Creating a New Set with New Poses."
