Pre-Memorial Day Smash Bash
64 man tournament. Check www.cubedconcept.com for details. New updates in rules to further explain certain things. I'll leave the basic rules here, but you must check the site for the full list of details. It's official as well, I won't be checking my private message box during the day of the tournament. This means sign up for free and get on aim. A chat room will be made early during the day.

1st place will get games up to a total of 2500 wii points, don’t give me a hard time with uneven numbers, if numbers are uneven in the end, you won't get them since you can't turn it into a game (you're screwed if you use up 2200 points is what I'm trying to say, you can't get a game with 300 points and I can't transfer over points, so don't make this hard)
2nd place will get games up to a total of 1500 wii points, same applies to the above
3rd and 4th place will each receive a game that equals to 500 wii points.

This is just to start getting a list of people who'll want to play on the 25th. In a bit, I'll be updating the first post with entrants. I asked for a format to follow when you're entering. Also updated, so that no one is looking around for the rules, the link is there.

I have to make posts simple because typing on the IC is annoying. As for Counter-Picking mid-game and crap like that, I can set my in-game tags to say that. I may be able to use my phone for AIM.

Would Inf. Shine count as Cheat Locking, since it is VERY hard to initiate?

for those who are inconvenienced by the date, there are other tournaments the days before I'm sure, look for them, this is staying on the 25th.

for those who did not read the first post, read it. I'll be updating with the list of players thus far later today. Those who said would join but don't have aim, the first post has summarized my feelings about that and I'll leave a quote

Get an account for free and log onto aim express or meebo, both don't require you to download any software into the computer. It's going to be far too much of a hassle to be checking the pm box and running this by myself. So those using wii to browse online and post, sorries, about 11 days for you guys with no way to instantly message to figure something out. Hell, I can even go out of my way and get on msn if msn is the only thing you can possibly get on as a messenger.

I'm doing some rule changing actually right now, as much as I feel some things are unfair, it's way too early to start stopping things from actually seeing how they can win games. I certainly didn't like when they banned victory dragon in yugioh as soon as it hit the shelves. Yea, it won a match set 2 out of 3 if you attacked with him, but he required a 3 dragon tribute for only 2400 attack, and you had to reduce your opponents life points to zero. While it wasn't impossible to do this, it sure required a deck built around it, not to mention with so many cards banned, you could only have so many magic and traps while still pulling out cards for the dragon combo. This was banned only because it was possible to win an entire set, yet really hard to do. While this isn't a yugioh tournament, I do feel some things in this game are much easier to do than in yugioh :p, but its far too early to tell if some things are tournament breaking or not without allowing it.

I guess for the help of the smash community really, to see if who and what wins.

Someone link me to something where people play ness/lucas CAN escape those constant hit grabs. I saw marth in action doing it and felt it was ridiculous and didn't require much work to do it. I'm actually curious about this one. I keep hearing that if you keep tapping attack, its not possible to jump out, but if they attack and don't do it constantly, they can jump out. Someone link me to clarify this

Icies will be allowed to do what they do. I myself have tried to do this, and find it difficult to do, but it works great on something that stands still. I found it difficult just to grab someone while their in constant motion however. We'll see where this goes in the future.

Combos off of walls are fine, but I'm still going to take a stand on wall locking. We've all see the walls play a huge factor on what stages are chosen, and while there are not many stages with walls, I don't want to get rid of even more stages just because of a constant holding a barrage

Someone explain the fox infinite I was just told about as well, and I hope it isn't the one where there is a wall. Is it the one where you dash out of a shine and keep shining? I don't know about that one, seems like there could be a flaw with it, so if someone feels its creepy, link me. I think I saw it in action and didn't find it ridiculous.

List is updating now as well. If you didn't place any way to communicate with you instantly, don't expect to see your name on the list until you do. I had people saying they over slept and PMing me 2 hours after the last one started.

FURTHER EDIT: I'll get home and research some bits about this game. I may leave these at play smart, to stop what seems unfair. So disregard a lot about the banning, I'll look into it and probably take them out.
