- Marx: Tricky fighter that flies around and rains projectiles all over you. He could also dash into the ground and then attack from below. For his Final Smash, he fires his lazar.
They never release a character on the exact same day they're announced though. So
Gonna make a prediction and say that CP11 launches same day as their presentation.
There's maint on October 5th, and while that doesn't necessarily imply that they'll be out, it'd just be nice to get their presentation and release in the same day.
But they have done same day Sakurai Presents and releases. They never release a character on the exact same day they're announced though.
The only exception to this is Roy and Ryu in Smash 4, but Smash 4's DLC was far less organized so that example doesn't work with how things are handled with Ultimate.
I think anywhere around the ballpark of October 19th would be more likely.
In both cases, we knew who the character was prior to that presentation. But they have done same day Sakurai Presents and releases.
Banjo released the same day as his Sakurai Presents video. Same with Sephiroth, technically.
At this point, I don't think we can say for certain one way or another. In both cases, we knew who the character was prior to that presentation.
We don't know the character this time, so this is more akin to a Byleth situation.
There's also been quite a few maintenances that didn't lead to anything. At this point, I don't think we can say for certain one way or another.
We know there's Maint scheduled for the same day as the Sakurai Presents, and that's all as of now.
I personally feel like a same day release would be best, to capitalize off the hype of it being the final character, but we'll see.
The improved online will come with the premium PREMIUM version of NSOThere's also been quite a few maintenances that didn't lead to anything.
This could've just been a coincidence. Or maybe they'll also talk about online improvements and that's what the maint-
I'm sorry. I can't write that sentence without bursting off in laughter![]()
It'd be somehow laggier when you pay extra because most of the budget went towards Genesis gamesThe improved online will come with the premium PREMIUM version of NSO
For 60$
Which will go live on the system 1 year before the successor comes out.
Premium Premium would mean Gamecube NSO with Melee online? The improved online will come with the premium PREMIUM version of NSO

Other hypothetical scenario, they could put Melee on there, but it'd fix all the glitches that made it "fun" and inspire #NotMyMelee on social media.Premium Premium would mean Gamecube NSO with Melee online?
Just kidding they'd never put Melee or Gamecube on NSO.
Oh yeah, once October 5th comes, Smash season ends. All I gotta say is that these might be the last posts of the speculation season.
Feels kinda like the end of FFXIV 1.0 ngl
I think the CP11 presentation be all we get until the very next Smash game in probably 5+ years. So when do people think we'll next hear anything Smash related after the 5th? Not like, patches for Ultimate- I mean like actual announcements.
I wouldn't be surprised if we get a complete edition of Ultimate in a year or so. Then I see a pretty long wait for the next game.
We may still get a few spirits till 2022 and maybe a balance patch or two, at least.I think the CP11 presentation be all we get until the very next Smash game in probably 5+ years.
Probably a year into the next console generation. For some reason, Smash doesn't like debuting as a launch title (probably after Melee released in the state it did).So when do people think we'll next hear anything Smash related after the 5th? Basically how long do you think we'll go without any Smash news after this? I hope its a long time honestly. I think everyone needs a break.
I guess Spirits events and tournaments can still happen, but aside from that and maybe some small patches, I don't expect anything much.We may still get a few spirits till 2022 and maybe a balance patch or two, at least.
I forgot about amiibo too. XDI get Spirits events and tournaments can still happen, but aside from that and maybe some small patches, I don't expect anything much.
Even less so a Direct or a complete edition.
EDIT: Forgot amiibo announcements but again, really nothing major
Minor remaining content for Ultimate aside, if Sakurai makes another game and then returns to Smash the earliest you'd probably hear about it is 2025. But it probably wouldn't be ready for a couple years after that, so the wait might be even longer. So when do people think we'll next hear anything Smash related after the 5th? Ah, Nick season.Oh yeah, once October 5th comes, Smash season ends.
But we're already transitioning into Nick season![]()
Yes to this. Give me Kid Icarus: Uprising 2 god dammit.I'm super grateful for all Sakurai has done for Smash, but let the guy make something else again. Kid Icarus Uprising was a long while ago now.
I disagree. The lack of a precedent for something doesn't make it an impossibility. And going back to the "same day release" idea
I really don't get the mindset of just doing it for the sake of hype when it's pretty much been a rule of thumb for Ultimate that DLC is never released the same day they are revealed.
I get pattern theories don't always stand when speculating, but this one is just way too consistent to be just mere theory.
My bets;So... have we discussed potential Mii costumes yet? It seems like now's a better time than ever for that sort of thing.
I'm placing some chips on an Among Us costume for all three Miis, the game's überpopularity has made this idea nip me in the back of my corpus colossum for a while now.
IIRC Among Us's popularity came after the DLC was decided, so I kinda doubt we'll see it here.So... have we discussed potential Mii costumes yet? It seems like now's a better time than ever for that sort of thing.

Do we know if the Mii Costumes are decided the same time as everything else?IIRC Among Us's popularity came after the DLC was decided, so I kinda doubt we'll see it here.
Since we don't know the character, there's no chance of us predicting the costumes; it's as much of a crap shoot as the character themself.
It's always possible that Mii Costumes are decided separately.IIRC Among Us's popularity came after the DLC was decided, so I kinda doubt we'll see it here.

I still doubt they'd completely shadowdrop a character like that.I disagree. The lack of a precedent for something doesn't make it an impossibility.
I suppose not explicitly, but I dunno why they wouldn't be. They do have to get them all ready at the same time the corresponding fighter is so why dawdle on it?Do we know if the Mii Costumes are decided the same time as everything else?
Pitch black you say?No pervasive character leaks
No remaining known Mii costumes
No promo characters seem overly likely and the timing has lapsed for current releases
No third-party companies seem like frontrunners for inclusion.
Most of the candidates we've spent the lastforty-eightthree years discussing seem out of the running.
We're not just in the dark. It's basically pitch black.
Personally I'm hoping the final fighter is a Noname McVisualnovel.Well, if there's Scirmblo Bimblo, John McJRPG and KickPunch Fightman, who's the next one?
