Do you guys have any videos to demonstrate this?
I played peach like she "should" be played focusing on dair and turnip approaches (i doubt cpus can glide toss but still), and i used Game & Watch and used bair approaches.
The end result is them having no different AI, CPU Peach still likes its ground floated nairs and bairs, and Game & Watch still likes camping with neutral B and trying to punish with jabs

So I play as ZSS all the time in this game, and I'm alright.

My games LVL ZSSes still suck. I mean they suck. Badly.

I think the developers knew what was good when they developed the game. They'd had longer than we've had it yet, so they knew a fair bit about it.

On the original topic, and the new subject of Sheik:

I was playing around with the chain jacket (AT that enables Sheik to store the knockback and damage of any move into the chain) and every time I got it activated, the cpu REFUSED to go anywhere near the chain. So yes, the cpu does react to the situation in a match.

Another example of adjusting CPU's...
A NPC Lucas full hop dair'd me (spiking meto the ground), then fastfalled to land next to me. I was then jab locked with dtilt a few times followed by a fsmash, killing me. I was amazed, since I highly doubt that was hardcoded into Lucas' AI. I'd only done it a few times before, but the CPU must've picked it up...

I've seen some minor adaptations for example if I use snake and I fight a computer I would duck away his lasers and the computer stops all together with that approach even for the next fights.

Hmmm. This is only mildly related to the topic, but I think the computer taunts differently depending on the situation as well. I was playing as Metaknight with CPU9 Ike on my team against CPU9s Pit and Marth. Pit was dead and Marth had two stock left. Ike KOd Marth and used his up taunt: "rrrrrrrRRRRR!". But then, he taunted again immediately after with his side taunt: "Prepare yourself!" CPUs usually only taunt once after KOing someone, so I was just like, "What? Are you talking to me?"

Ya I think they do adapt
they know when I'm gonna use a certain attack but I know how to counter
the good thing about a lv9 Kirby, is dat it doesn't continue to suck u up

The computer adapts to the situation in the match in most fighting games:
- if close, he uses his normal attacks
- if far, he uses his projectiles or approaches.
- if beneath, he uses his u-tilt or u-smash

:chuckle:

Sorry for spoiling the subject...

Yeah I would also agree that they adapt and learn, but then why is it that lv. 9 MKs never use up-b as a recovery? They always use down-b........
